I'm enjoying my 2024 Raptor, thankfully it's not a 2014. By the way, I'm not a Ford fan boy, they have plenty of shit vehicles over the years and currently. Nor will I defend any of my vehicles to the hilt like you for purely emotional reasons. My 2018 LC has been problem free, so I own Toyota as well. Don't know why you have such a chip in your shoulder, but hope you can get past it.

And yeah, I trade in my vehicles a lot. Doesn't affect my financial state whatsoever, so not going to apologize for trying new vehicles. Tried a 2022 Capstone Tundra, wasn't for me. But if I can get my hands on a 1794LE after the engine recall is resolved, I'll probably pick it up. Since I don't finance anything I can always wait for deals that make sense.

A common thread on Fords seems to be electronic issues related to poorly routed or poorly protected harnesses. What a stupid thing to mess up.

Lol in general it's funny how a central part of this thread is all us fan boys taking victory laps around the other brand's new recalls only to have to pipe down when our own recall of the week suddenly drops. We lob recalls back and fourth at eachother like water balloons.

But if we're just in a race to the bottom, then that means Toyota's reputation for reliability has taken a sizable hit...

Oh I am SURE of that, if I was you, I would go pay CASH for 3-4 of those Raptors you cherish so much, that is a wise financial decision since you seem to be an expert on finances. I live off the interest that HYSAs provide, it is my going out to eat, fly to Europe/ Hawaii/ Cruise to the Caribbean and SAMs club money. I could drive any Raptor or Raptor R I wanted a few times over, and I turned one down to buy my truck. I suggest you look at and examine your quality Ford product you are driving around in, the sunroof if yours has one is a plastic POS, costs around $1500 dollars to replace so you might want to check it. The older SVT Raptors meant something when they switched to Ford Performance it really diluted the brand. As for me I have no chip on my shoulder as I sit on inherited farmland adjacent to Bill Gate's properties and continue to shred every offer, he sends wanting to acquire it. Every wonder why the super billionaire rich are buying up so much farmland? wanting to control the food supply is scary isn't it.

Hate to tell you this, but your FIAT CASH is worthless and not worth the paper it is printed on and will continue to be devalued and deflated.

That is because Ford has the UAW working for them, the low cost, lowest bidder, contract wins. The materials Ford uses are some of the cheapest they can source. My wife loves Ford and unfortunately her choice in ride is an Explorer. I tried to talk her into the Lexus/ Toyota Land Cruiser or a Model X tesla but that was a no go.

The only official recall notice Toyota has given has been on non hybrid NA gas models only- this is excluding the iForce Max units.

According to Tundras.com, Fords dont last 10 years so really shouldn't be many left on the road anyway.

No, Ford's last a long time just your speedometer won't work, the accessories may or may not work, your rear defroster could break and only work on certain sides, the vent controls could go bad -- but as far as the powertrain it will still get you from point A to point B. Your sunroof bracket could break as it is plastic and prone to binding. This is of course after 5-10 years of ownership but as others have said you flip out of your trucks in 10-18 months so you may not see these things.

I tend to keep my trucks for 10 years or so on average which is why I bought the Tundra. Didn't want to really have to deal with those things so we will see how well it does but so far it has been perfect.

don't ask me how I know.

someone will always have more than you regardless of you spending $xx,xxx cash burns trading trucks every year or two.

That things will probably hit the fan pretty soon, and unless you have rations and supplies you will be screwed. Believe what you want but we are all probably in for some serious sh@t over the next 6 months or so.

Looks like I now know where to go to 'tactically acquire" more rations and supplies should the apocalypse happen.

y'all know what that means! if tundras.com 2nd gen users are any indication, Ford literally has 550,000 trucks they have to fix or buy back!

It is alright, I predict that the 2nd gen Tundra owners who hate the 3rd gens so much will finally acquire them after they get to the 5 year/ 100,000 mile mark. Then the bashing will subside, I also predict that all these great Raptor owners will be flipped out of their trucks in Tundra's within the next 6-12 months since they obviously have some pent-up love with Toyota and its Tundra. If they don't flip out of the Raptors pre 30k miles or so then they will probably be so upside down or asset deprived. I had to sell my Raptor on my own as no dealer would touch it for what I thought it was worth.

I am curious to know if any of the Raptor owners here have bought the FOX take offs for rebuilds which they are supposed to do every 50k miles or so? I know I had them the gen 2 and 3 Fox shocks have gotten up to around 7-8k a set but there are shops out there who rebuild them and run swap outs.

Saw one news flash that said 640,000 F150 trucks now recalled. What's a few hundredthousand give or take?! Living up to "Fix or Repair Daily."

Ford is still the number one selling truck, 100k plus trucks on average a year time 10 years and you have a million F150s on the road. More like 10 million as they are all over everywhere.

That's good seeing as all 550,000 trucks are guaranteed to be affected.

Doesn't the TRD Pro use Fox shocks as well? Don't they have a 50k rebuild cycle too?

Have you had OEM shocks that maintained their same compression and rebound performance significantly past 50k miles?

Yes, and that is the point most Raptor owners never do that, I would imagine if you see a 70-100k mile Raptor then you can assume it is on the original Fox shocks.

Which is why I did not go with the Pro and got the TRD OR package with Bilsteins- the Bilsteins are 1k a set and can be taken off and put back on with 30 minutes.

Which is why my preference for daily driven vehicles is also Bilstein. By daily driven, I mean vehicles that I don't want to have sitting on my lift for a week or two waiting for components to be rebuilt.

However, for application oriented vehicles like my track car, I have to accept that I will need to send my coilovers (Ohlins R&T) in every 25-50k miles for rebuilds. That car will sit on the lift in my garage until those coilovers come back.
