Florida is all about boating to me and slimy boat ramps. I have seen more stories there of vehicles + the boat, into the water, due to people not putting on the wheel chocks, right after getting out of the vehicle to unhook the boat, or hook up to pull it out. Without 4 x4 forget it.

I mean Toyota is screwing a lot of stuff up lately. The new one is the transmissions in the Tacoma crapping the bed.

Last couple photos are of the overflow
Lot which I don't remember seeing Tundras on until the last month or so. They were doing "call for pricing" on most things until fairly recently probably to hide from Toyota that they were still trying to slip additional markups into the deals after the manufacturer officially took a negative stance on ADM.

A salesman standing outside as I slow rolled through looking at price tags in what he gleefully figured must be my non Gen3 Tundra trade. I almost thought he'd start trying to talk to me as I drove by.

I had a 2020 Taco and I got rid of it because of the tranny. It always felt like the tranny was confused on what gear it should be in and it would be jerky. There's something like sport mode and it was smoother riding if you put it in that mode, but it was a PIA to keep having to put it in that mode every time you started the truck.

I checked the dealer near me and they have 42 2024 Tundras listed. It's Southern Vermont so they aren't exactly a high volume dealer. Every single one has a dealer discount of around 6% off sticker advertised online right now.

When I was considering ordering one 6-9 months ago, I think they had about 7 new Tundras on the lot and they were mostly the really high trim levels that I expect sell slower.

This is a shame because I am not getting out of my Ford. I like the features better and invested in the 8 yr warranty.
My wife's TLX is 9 years old and probably due to move on soon but she is not a pickup person. If there Were a place for another pickup in the household I'd absolutely go in and try to snag one of these with an extended warranty thrown in for free in the advertised discount price and tell them Good luck and screw off if they don't want to do it.

Good thing you are keeping that Ford for life then, because I have a 150k bumper to bumper on mine and it was discounted at $4k.

I don't think anyone will complain if truck prices come back down out of the stratosphere.

it seems like some are surprised at more inventory, this was the plan and why they moved the taco out of the plant. Also the parts crunch is over and the market has softened a little.

It was Toyotas goal to sell more tundras and they are with increased production capacity. more inventory is a good thing for the buyer, they are going the make more trucks, offer more off approach now, and setting sales records along the way so far most recently.

I don't think prices will ever come down, MSRP, I just think discounts will go up. kinda the same thing but not, HA

we wont see platinum tundras for 52K like my 2016 was, but the discounts will be bigger off the 70K. There was no way in hell you got 10K or more off back then when I was shopping, you can now

What do we think happened here? Heavy truck, light boat, why would it be pulled in like that? Operator error? Seems like a lot of times guys will forget to put in park/parking brake.

Titan is a bad example since this is the last year, probably just clearing out inventory.

I will have to touch base with my old Toyo dealer and find out how happy they are to have 80 trucks to unload on a general public that's probably still not 100% convinced we won't see the recall Expand into 2024.

I selected 4x4 in the search. Just this dealer has 225 of them on the lot and in transit.

They don't have a failed motor recall and last of the V-8s without start/stop and cylinder shut offs. But yes soon to be an orphan but they still get a 5year/100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty have have good reliability ratings.

Maybe Toyota will match or better that warranty.

go back and re-read my post.

I said back then in 2016 when I bought my tundra Toyota WAS NOT doing 10K back then.

not sure what a bunch of current other trucks have to do with that

understood, I don't really care how happy they are, I was just commenting that Toyota removed the Taco to make more tundras and now they are and they are selling more than they have in the past recently based on total numbers.

and I have no idea about the recall, who knows.

My truck stickered for $69.2k when I bought it. Now they are $76-77k trucks so with 10-12 grand off where are you really?

maybe 3-4k off sticker on my truck which is now offset by the cost of inflation. Not much gain if at all really.
