    Hmmmm.....

If Toyota comes out with a good plan to restore confidence coupled with plunging trade in and new truck sales prices, might fall in line for my cheap gene to pick one of those pavement princesses with the shiny unscratched TRD skid plates.

If they came out with an actual legitimate cause and solution backed by long term warranty and prices were cheap.. hell I'd help them recover from the billions they are about to lose with a purchase. Those are huge IF's though, I wouldn't hold my breath.

all the shit aside , they are super nice imo , it’s still not many that have failed out of the 100s of thousand built

we’ll see how this plays out , Toyota has a job in front of them , there is also a new engineer in charge , sweers got promoted

Hate to rub salt in the wound while also pointing out the glaringly obvious, but it is ironic that many buyers cite retained value as a reason to buy a tundra and now they literally can’t even trade one in if they wanted to

    sure, fair point

I’m not really in that camp, I shopped them all as you now and also owned a ram, I don’t really care about resale that much , I get what I like.

Many of the things they shit on Ford or Chevy for they now defend in Toyota. It's an oddity for sure.

I owned exactly 1 Chevy and it was problem after problem. I'm not a fan. I've had good luck with Ford diesels, particularly the 6.7. But yea I'm with you on the nope for chevy.

Helps my case only if low risk. Kind of like the Tacoma frame rust extended warranty.

Although if there is a price drop on leftover 2024 4runners when the 2025s hit the lot, I may go that way or the way things in the economy are right now, just keep what I got.

I'll stick with Toyota and I'm employed by them too.
They would never take US grant money and throw it away @ 100,000 loss per elec vehicle period.
    Perfect nope, better yup.;)

ya I wasn’t impressed at all with the gm or ford 10 speeds, not even nearly as good as the zf8 or aisin 10 in the ram and tundra

Skunked. Unfortunately, they run a lot of tournaments on our lake, so there’s a ton of pressure on the fish. I don’t really care much about freshwater fishing anyway, just wanted to catch one with the little guy

Bummer , that stuff is priceless time with them. I’m all fresh water , never been salt water fishing , not exactly close living in the middle of the country lol

I’m going up to northern Mn over the 4th , hope to get a few with my kids as well

my dad and I made it 31 years in a row going up there before I lost him in 2022, such great times

Sounds like you're in a tough spot with the decision. Both the F-150 and Toyota trucks are awesome in their own ways. The F-150 PowerBoost with all those features sounds really cool, especially with the Black Appearance Package and that onboard power. But Toyota's known for being super reliable, which is a big deal if you want to keep the truck for a long time.

Honestly, 90K for either one sounds pretty high, but if you're getting all the features you want and a reliable ride, it might be worth it. I'd say go for the one that feels right for you and fits your needs best.

Now that is the only Ford Truck I would rely on that 7.3L is really nice I hear just like the GM 6.6L Gas. Both those trucks are Solid from what I hear and read.
