I think my XLT 4x4 Powerboost is 5600 and change and it is a Long bed hybrid with a moonroof so I would Guess a standard bed Ecoboost might be in the low 5's with stock tires and nothing aftermarket

What's the summary? Which components? Because the net result is a smaller, heavier truck with less capacity.

I actually wasn't trying to make fun of you. I love seeing guys work their trucks.

I don't think there was any part on my grandpa's farm truck that wasn't bent, scratched, dented or torn off.

Looks like a great motor until 2021. When did that UAW strike happen? I'd wait a few years until those disgruntled GM and Ford workers are gruntled again. You don't get quality from workers that hate the company.

As much as I wouldn't trust Stellantis reliability, that Ram TRX Supercharged V8 would be fun.

I think it came down to bad valves. Just like bad wastegates, or bad bearings

I can concur that it's pretty easy to avoid using boost with the Ford 3.5. Eco mode helps a lot. However, sometimes it's counter productive. I found that trying to keep it out of boost and lugging it up hills is less efficient than just letting the turbos spool.

I don't think I could have done that with the 2.7, turbos spool on it too fast.

My 2020 Lariat was ~5300 lbs. It was a SuperCab, which shaves a bit of weight. It also didn't have the FX4 (skid plates) or large moonroof. Crew cab with those and you probably are right around the 5500 mark.

My 2023 PowerBoost Lariat is porky at about 5800 lbs. Even still, it doesn't have the moonroof, FX4, or power tailgate which helps. Add those and some other stuff and I could see being around 6000 lbs for a very well optioned hybrid.

From what I've seen, Tundras are definitely a couple hundred pounds heavier across the board than F-150s.

Will do. I am in a similar boat RE: F150. I bet my dented farm truck Tundra would be worth more than a dented farm truck F150 @hagrid

I realize that my truck is from another era, but the fact I need to accept 2024 standards for such a critical part is not confidence inspiring.
Was watching a detailed video on the comprehensive '24 "TRD Lift" option package.
As the guy was unboxing the parts - many China labels. 8^(

It doesn't matter if it is bent out or up, so long as it works, right? At least that's what I tell her.

IDK. I've seen 2015+ Lariats with ~1560 lbs of payload on a truck with a 7050 lbs GVWR. And I know that my trucks payload sticker was within 20 lbs of the cat scale when I weighed it completely empty. I also know that my 17" wheels with 315/70R17's KO2's were the same weight as my OEM 20" wheels/tires at around 92 lbs a piece. My truck was actually lighter than stock when I went to the 315/70R17 Goodyear Territory MT's. The OEM 20's are heinously heavy.

5500 lbs is the upper limit for a non-Powerboost though. Thats a fully pimped out truck on 20" wheels with a moon roof and tailgate step, spray in bed liner etc.

I am willing to bet one Canadian Loonie, that this vehicle was parked for quite a while, and the electronic drain brought the battery to a level that affected the proper operation of the electronic sensors in the brakes, the gear shift and I am sure a few more places too. Attached pic is a sample only for illustration.
