You know, our experience was quite the opposite. Both of us were trying to figure out how to get the Tundra out of the digital rear view mirror into the traditional rear view mirror. The digital mirror felt odd - maybe we're just not used to it. As for the full roll down window, we drive with our windows up almost all the time so it didn't matter that much to us. As for the better camera resolution, we just didn't notice it - both the 360 view on the F150 and Tundra seemed to be good enough for the purpose of parking in tighter areas.

Overall, it was a solid truck. While those features are things that we may not use, I'm not going to say no or it's not a dealbreaker at all.

Amen. While our toyota dealership here does have a good reputation, they definitely don't treat you like the lexus dealer does. They will literally come pick it up for service work and leave you with a loaner.

I'm not expecting Lexus (or luxury level) service. I'm expecting the dealership sales staff to try to make a sale (or future sale) - not eliminating their chance of doing so.

They could have tried to do so by even just saying, "Unfortunately, we don't have many 6.5 foot beds right now and we're not sure what the allocation will look like for the entire 2024MY. Is there anything I can do to convince you to take a 5.5 foot bed?" By saying, "Toyota no longer produces 6.5 foot bed Tundras for the 2024 model year" seems to be taking a huge risk because how do you talk yourself out of that when that information is not correct?

I looked over to the sales person after his sales manager said that. He just looked defeated.

I'm skeptical about long term reliability of air suspension systems as "primary". I'd much rather have air suspension supplement a traditional leaf spring or coil spring system. That way when the air suspension malfunctions, it doesn't potentially leave the truck squatted and undrivable.

To that end, I believe a well tuned and designed traditional suspension can still perform well and ride comfortably.

The OP, which you failed to quote properly only messed up the first numbers, but then correctly stated it.

I’ve had my 22 sr5 trd offroad crewmax 5.5 for over a year now. The suspension was stiff and a bit harsh over certain bumps at first. But has since settled down. I love the ride now.

When I was riding in the '22 F150 Limited, the one with the massaging seats that can almost bring you to a happy ending..
When we got on the bumpy trail the noise from the back window/back cab area was was loud over bumps. And I was in the front passenger seat.
That little square window that opens which I assume is that size and shape for structural integrity, was closed. Is this the power cable rattling inside the back of the cab ?
The dealer failed to fix it once. Whats the fix, is there one ?

Also, I have read on multiple accounts here, that there is noise (outside of regular truck noise) on the '22 onwards Tundra with the rear window rolled down also while driving on regular roads. Coming from the Bed vibration, or the power cable ?

With rear window down, you'll hear bed rattling...
No fix by dealer in my case.

After I installed camper shell noise was gone as bed got heavier and no longer rattled.

I think the rattle came from the sheet metal attached to frame. My platinum made popping noises and if I wanted to probably could have tightened it down but the attach points were all the way up by where you out in gas, never had the energy to get up there.

My experience at the Toyota dealer here was pretty similar. They were obnoxious TBH. I got the sense that they only felt the need to sell to Toyota Kool aid drinkers that were fine paying whatever was on the sticker regardless.

In my case it was a Tacoma TRD OR and they wanted more that I paid for my loaded Lariat F150 max tow with virtually every option, so I walked out laughing. This was back in early 2017 when I had bought my F150 in early 2015, so it was before this whole inflation price hike BS. They were doing it back then too

There’s only one local here that isn’t an asshole. All the others act like they’re made of gold. Sequoia pro listed at 103k and sequoia platinum at $90 k. But “we’ll work with you if you come in”.
I wanted to drive one just to see and go figure, price was the price . On top of $65k trade value for the raptor

Dont worry, thats changing. Im starting to see $5-8k discounts on F150’s around here. Im sure it will move up towards $12-15k.

That was how it had always been.

They dont hold their value vs msrp but most people historically didnt pay MSRP. Its only people who bought a truck in the last 2 years that really did.

Once prices settle back to reality, all those people are gunna be left with a truck they paid some obnoxious amount of money for but is only worth 50% of its original price because the new trucks are now $10k cheaper.

If what you were saying was true though, then I would have bought a used F150 back in 2015, but the prices were so close to the discount price of the new truck that I bought that I didnt see the value there.

When I picked up my lightning last year the dealer had raptors at $20k over msrp, tremors at $7k over msrp and everything else was msrp +$2499 dealer pack.

Really? I thought it was pretty wildly known that the F150 forum dealers like Granger Ford were doing MSRP for Raptors and 3% under invoice for Tremors and regular F150s.

If I were shopping for pickups and took quick a quick look at the most popular (or second most popular) F150 and Super Duty forums, it would have been obvious that there were a few forum dealers with an inordinate number of out of state purchase reviews.

I think there was a time when it would have still been less expensive to ship a car to the West Coast from Granger - maybe that still is the case.

For the East Coast, we would add the Chapman Auto Stores franchise to the list of forum dealers that offer 3% under invoice.

That's too bad. Probably an hour or two of research could potentially have saved them thousands from late 2021 to early 2023.

I got my eyes on a Shelby Raptor, Baja Raptor or a Tremor possibly a Roush from a certain dealer that sells el exclusively.

Haven’t had the Tundy too long, see how well she earns her keep.

I bought mine from Granger and drove it back, also could have had it shipped. Paid $63 instead of (at the time) 72k, would be $76 now
