Oh, I’m sorry, I thought you were saying you were concerned about the durability of the bed. I never noticed that my Tacoma rattled but not sure about the Tundra

I have Zero knowledge on the current and past Tacomas so will not comment on them.
All my drives with trucks are long, going somewhere, and I could never get past the seating position/lack of room.
With that I can say I have taken a real interest in the new Tacoma.
I really like what the chief engineer and team did with it.
And I see they have finally fixed the seating position plus much more.

Finally some un camouflaged front end photos Coming out and I'm digging it. Staying away from The angular horizontal
Design language I have trouble with on the Ram and Tundra. Less busy than the Silverado. The lightning influence
can be seen in the headlights.

But thinking there's nothing else coming in 2024 drastic enough to make me wish I waited except maybe a new screen and interior tweaks which won't do that to me just by themselves.

They're trying to freshen it but not alienate anybody. But I do want to know more about these 2400 fewer parts.

I see it a little bit but the F series is more squared off.

I figured they'd go for full family resemblance with the Ranger. They did somewhat but still chose to set it apart a bit. I thought it was going to be a carbon copy, thinking I like the Ranger theme better.

Hard to tell but those look like halogens in the top of the lens. If so that’s going to be the lower trim level Tremor 401A. The high package/402A may look a little different

I am like those that see it as uglier.
...and if you are financing its going to cost you even more to own that uglier new puss.
The US Fed now wishes they raised rates in June. Have they lost control ?
    rates going up more.
    just sayin....

Don't want to side track the thread but watching the housing market is going to be wild in a few years. These rates are still not bad historically, but paired with the unprecedented housing prices, I fear we may have too many people buying houses they A) Can't afford and/or B) will be underwater on if the market does dip. I feel like a lot of realtors are pushing the "marry the house, date the rate" mantra right now telling buyers they can refinance down the road and I am just not so sure we are going to see rates drop that much any time soon.

Raptor has officially become the highest mileage car I’ve owned recently (last two years). 2450 miles.

I like how the tremor looks like it gets the same bumper as the raptor.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing. What a novel idea, put more off-road friendly bumpers on the truck trims you sell as off road trucks. I guess Toyota only does that with Tacoma

That's the only thing I like about it, cut a littler higher on the sides. Wonder if I could do a bumper swap?

looks similar to outgoing gen3 so I’m sure it could swap. Only issue I see is your DRL and fog lamp on that part and requiring that.

looks like ‘24 bumper has pre drilled spots for aftermarket light bars and such

Let me bring the CANUCK perspective on Wild.

    CAN = Canada
UCK = yeah thats right.. short for ...F...

We live in a land, where what you can buy a house for in most of the US, is only a deposit for a house in Ontario and British Columbia. Our Fed (BOC) held rates and people plowed back into the housing market raising prices again. Well guess what - Housing prices are part of the inflation number and they are trying to bring it down to 2% inflation. They will keep raising rates until they do. In the US and Canada. In Canada the banks sent a lifeline to borrowers by extending amortizations. So we have many home owners not covering the interest on their monthly mortgage payment now. There is a reason that our dollar is called the Loonie.

What is the mileage number when you start losing points - resale value ?

I know I shit talk alot(it's all in jest), and these incidents do seem uncommon, but man I really feel bad for these folks. Both the ones who have had it happen, and those with a '22 who I have to think, have this "threat" hanging over their head.

that sucks. wonder what the cause was. hopefully these occurrences stay very very rare.

Driving last week I saw a Tacoma on the side of the road with the hood popped up broken down, I almost took a picture b/c I figured it was almost as rare as bigfoot

No matter the make these things can happen and it's an embarrassing, frustrating experience to have to tell everyone the brand new 65k truck you've showed off to them is in pieces at the dealer awaiting critical parts.

I felt like crap going to functions in a 4 year old Escape when my F150 was in and having to tell people why. Mother in law
Made it a point to let me know that never happened with her Hondas.

Apparently some issue with the oil pump/oil system. Again it does seem very rare and also appears to be isolated to MY22s, but the mileage that it happens is all over the place. So if I had a '22 I don't think I'd ever feel "safe". I'm not a worrier but I'd be thinking about it every time I tow my boat 3+ hours to the beach with my little kids in the back.

I was a two vehicle guy before going to my F series. It made financial sense to get away from those obligations for a bit as it sucks when both vehicles have no warranty and start to age. But it was nice to have something else available in the driveway if a vehicle went down. Probably gonna pick up a nice spare again in 4-5 years.
