They have them on their website for the 22 Tundra, I think the installer is mistaken or doesn't have access to them yet through their distributor.

I like my MX4 but had to additional foam to seal the front corners and the rear where the tailgate closes close to the rear tonneau rails. I also added a seal around the bed of the truck to keep out dust and dirt. Now the cover is finally rain tested waterproof.

Is it possible that Retrax uses US screw sizes whereas Toyota uses metric screws?

I don't see why it would matter. The screws supplied by Retrax are screwing through and into Retrax parts. It's not a big deal, they were just very tight; I was afraid I was going to strip them out. Luckily, the technique of brute force and ignorance works equally well for imperial or metric.

Oh… misunderstood… I thought they are being screwed into a Tundra part… just saw a few other installation instructions and videos and was wondering why some companies are supplying imperial screws to a truck built with metric screws… Certainly, if the accessory is not attached to an existing thread, it’s not an issue… personally I’d hate to have to deal with metric and imperial screws mixed on one truck.

The reason for the difficulty in screwing the screw in is the powder coat finish on the rails. I personally did not have an issue with them.

Does anyone have experience with either Leer folding tonneau covers, HF350M or HF650M? I’m not sure if they are available yet for the ‘22 Tundra. However I’m curious if anyone has had them on previous trucks and would recommend the covers?

So disappointed for BAK, this is my the worst ordering experience… I ordered x4s a month ago, but they just keep delaying, finally I got the package last week but no hardwares included, not even a installation instruction… I contacted customer service, they opened a ticket and guarantee that the missing kit will be shipped out on 8/17, then delayed to 18, then 19, today I called them but got an answer that there is no materials for hardwares, they don’t even know when it can send out... Is that how businesses are treating consumers now? To cheat them without limit? Do you guys know where I can file a complaint!

You should contact Realtruck; their customer service is second to none! If I'm not mistaken, they are associated with Bak in some fashion.

I think you're right, many are under the same roof in some fashion. When I had an issue with my Bak, the customer service was great, but they could only do so much. They actually told me to contact Realtruck.

Yeah I know Realtruck owns bak, undercover, retrax, roll n lock, truxedo, etc.

which is why I felt silly asking which is better undercover ultra flex or mx4. Don’t matter they’ll make money on either lol

I’m about 100% sure that I’m going to get it, but I’m leaning toward the Retrax aluminum models for my 5.5’ bed. How do we get information about that forum discount from RealTruck? Should I contact @SantanaRealtruck directly?

I had an extang solid fold on my 2013 platinum. It blocked a good amount of water but leaked near the tail gate. Over time it obviously got worse being 9 years old. But I always assumed the leaking near the tail gate was because of it allowing the tail gate to be opened and closed without opening the cover.

I am trying to decide which backflip to buy for my 2022 tundra. Does anyone have a specific opinion on the MX4 vs the G2? I know the G2 is older and doesn't allow for the tailgate to close with the cover closed, but part of me wants to believe that that might be better to keep more water out. Thoughts?
