We already have a blacked out 4runner that I can not keep looking clean. Really hoping cement is a little lower maintenance.

Edit: Will probably wait and go 2021 to get sunroof, premium package, & TRD OR package.

Be careful with the "windchill Pearl" if that is the same color as the Blizzard Pearl that is on the highlander. I was a member of that board when I had that vehicle and LOTS of paint issues with that color for some reason.

Nice! Any word about when it will get in? I've definitely considered Lunar Rock after seeing that picture of the Rav4 next to a cement Tacoma. I just wish they had some 'real life' pictures of a Lunar Rock Tundra available to view.

 

Clearly I'm new here and somehow deleted my post. Utah is supposed to go into production mid Sept. Delivery is usually 2-4 weeks, might be 3-6 this year. Really hoping to have her by mid October.

And I still haven't seen the color, even on the rav4. Just hoping it's pretty and can take a beating. Finally got to see what the double cab looks like with the 2021s on the website. Looks sweet, but so hard to tell from the fancy press photos they published. The general internet opinion is that it's a bit "girly" but I'm pretty pleased about that

 

My local dealer, Eastern PA, lists a 2021 crewmax in their inventory. I assume it is in transit, did not take a ride over yet just to be curious...

 

If you are the only one contributing to it then go for cement imo brother but if it's a joint adventure, perhaps flip a coin

I think discounts on the 2021s will be few and far between. *maybe* limited and Off road packages. Doubtful the pro.

I waffled between the limited cement and lunar rock pro. Ended up going with the pro, mostly because my heart needed it and I've never had a new truck before. I haven't seen it in person yet so tbd if I made a good choice. @BBQMan I'm right there with ya, and trying to get any available news. Really excited for October to come around...

 

Same here it will also be my first truck and the foundation for my BBQ business. That cement color is to die for lol. Will October be the official release date? I heard mid Sept from 3 local dealerships but you never know. Thank you for your input

 

I noticed the SX package is offered on the crewmax now

 

I put down a deposit for a double cab last week. My Utah dealer told me mid Sept Utah trucks would be going into production, hopefully with 2-4 weeks to delivery, possibly 3-6 with covid. So that mid September release date seems right. Unclear if they'll be getting the crewmax or dc first (guessing crewmax) but really tightly crossing fingers for mid October.

Plus, that cement is so nice and would look great on a bbq business truck too! Any chance you're coming to Utah to smoke some delicious meat?!

 

I am still on a fence. I want the last model year. That's why I bought the 2020 before they announced that it's going to be 2022. Carvana is going to buy the 2020 and I'll be open to get the 2021 after I move to Canada next month or wait till they actually announce the 2022 specs and capabilities.

I'll enjoy my Sequoia for now until then.

biggest thing is that it has color matched bumpers/grille surround.

SX Package (CrewMax) — upgrades standard wheels to 18-in. split 5-spoke black alloy wheels, 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat; 4-way adjustable front passenger seat, adds color-keyed exterior styling (front bumper end caps, grille surround and rear bumper) and removes all exterior badging; deletes rear under-seat storage compartment

 

Basically an SR5 with labia mud flaps.

 

Except that the base SR5 already has those seats and no storage under the rear seat.

The Canadian site also says it adds fog lights and the driver's footwell lamp, which the base SR5 also has.

 

Ridiculous! The Tundra reminds me of leftovers being heated up the next day. How much longer before Toyota deliverers on all the hype and offer an up to date truck?

Are you sure about 2022 model year being all new? Since you new here you might not know that it was supposed to be 2020, then 2021 and now...?
