2021 Tundras are on Toyota's Site

Just an FYI, I was looking at pricing a new Tundra since my current one is looking like it may be a goner.

Army green is now a standard color.

 

2021 Limited Nightshade in Windchill Pearl...

... tempting cause of the upgraded features such as push button and it being the last year model for the v8.

But imma ride out the 3rd gen in Cement

 

look at the 2020’s. Not much has changed compared to the 2021 other than packages and colors which you can essentially add aftermarket for cheaper.

 

The unique Pro color only lasts for one year then it's offered with certain trim levels after that. Not a bad thing because if you have the 1st year.....means you have a Pro!

 

Looking through their site I found one of the options, a "plus" option, adds the headunit apps like Alexa, as well as voice commands. It costs an addition 8-900 more, lol. Toyota is slowly finding ways to option packages like the "American" car companies do.

 

Yeah, was the same with my Voodoo Blue Pro. Just figured I'd put it out there, since theyre wasnt any confirmation on colors other than Lunar Rock being the new Pro color.

Do you have a part number(s) for the bed storage for the 21's? With the driver's side insulated cooler

 

I was under the impression that 2019+ didn't have a transmission cooler. Am I wrong?

 

Nice to finally get an idea on pricing...I will upgrade my '17 to a '21 next year, can't beat a new truck with the last of the V8 engines...looks like some nice options and packages available.

 

Odd. Just checked and I don't see army green offered with any truck. Tried SR5, limited and platinum. Maybe it will be a regional color? I would get an army green but I plan on getting a TRD OR and I think the green would look horrible with chrome

 

I just popped over there and it shows up for the SR5, didn't check any other trims.




If you want a crewmax it has to be a TRD sport apparently. That would take care of your chrome.

 

Interesting. I wonder how it will look with that trim. Guess we will see someone post pictures or a video in the next few months

 

Any underseat storage on the 2021’s?

 

I don't think they made any changed to the 2021's aside from the little add ons for the "Trail" models.

 

Army Green is my favorite color.

 

For someone that just bought a 2020 3 weeks ago I'm glad there were no changes. I even built the same exact packages I have on mine and it's almost $1000 more now. I thought they were gonna add a push button tailgate opener.

 

Thats interesting the articles I read said pricing would be very similar. In most cases maybe an extra $100 for 2021 vs 2020 through the trim levels

 

Those articles were probably written, even if they weren't published, before the impact of Covid was accounted for. The low supply and steady demand is causing more price hikes.

 

It doesn't, it has a crappy little puck that warms the transmission oil with engine coolant and technically pushes some heat back to the engine coolant at high temps. About as effective as fanning the transmission with your hand to cool it down.

Toyotas build site will only let you build what is available nearby. Sometimes colors and options wont show for some, but will for others.

 

I just bought a Tundra about a month and a half ago. Loaded Toyota.com with one eye closed. Glad to see nothing has changed except my Cement Grey went away. I love the Lunar Rock though.

 

No you are right. There is no dedicated cooler that directly cools the trans fluid. It has a warmer/cooler that works off the radiator fluid and it's not very effective at cooling.

 

Just checked again and my browser cache had 2020 model pre selected. Once I changed to 2021 green showed up.

Guess I'll have another color option to consider. Black, red, silver or army green

 

Yup, I was having a little buyers remorse buying a 2020 so close to 2021 being released but I'm all in now since there was no change.

 

No 2021s on the Toyota Canada website yet.

 

Cement Grey is still a color option that’s available..
