Super interesting to see if yours has an external trans cooler, or just the warmer puck like on the 19-20s'.

Last year of the V8? Don't tell me they are going to twin turbo V6s like Ford did with the Raptor...

Yes, your user name can be changed by Bob. I don't think Army Green is an option for the Pro on the '21s, though.

I don’t think there is any way it will be different than the 19 and 20. If it is then Toyota is pretty much admitting they were wrong

It won't. It's the last model year in this style, and they're not going to add stuff that would decrease the profit. Especially when the official claim is that and external cooler is not needed to stay within spec.

Personally I don’t care if it has an aux. trans cooler or not. If they say it’s not necessary, I’ll take them at their word and drive my truck as I please and tow whatever I need to. I think it’s highly unlikely the transmission in my truck will fail because of heat. I’ll repeat what has been said several times in other threads, there have been 0 transmission failures because of heat. I know some will claim that these trucks are only 2 years old, but I’m sure there are a significant number of 2019+ Tundras with over 100,000 miles and lots of towing. You just don’t hear from those people because they are too busy driving their trucks and living their lives. I beg you please don’t let this become another thread with people hyperventilating and obsessing about the transmission. There are plenty of other threads for that.

I'm just hyperventilating over the fact that I could have waited a year and had Army Green in an SR5. But then that would have meant another year of camping out of the wife's Corolla.

Has only one seen the Lava Rock in person on the Tundra yet? I can't decide if I like it from the pictures.

Someone has a lunar rock colored Rav4 at my work, I used to have a cement colored Tacoma. Honestly, I think lunar rock looks better pretty much in all lighting conditions. It has a greenish tint, but it looks darker overall than cement does. At night cement gets a blue/periwinkle tint, whereas the lunar rock is grey/green. Toyotas pictures of it do not do it any favors, it is a great color.

Thanks. So is it more grey then green in all lighting conditions? I love the Cement color.

I didn't look hard for them, but I'm on nights. I should have time to poke around, and I'll report back anything I find on them.

I guess the Trail Edition is cool, but I wonder why not just incorporate the new bits with the TRD Off-road, make it better?

Yeah, I know it's over there. I just think it's weird it's not on the actual 2021 Tundra page. The 4Runner has it on it's 2021 page. :notsure:

Not sure, but in the color section you can select the interior with the tan stitching, and that will be on the trail editions, so you can still see what they will look like. Colors will be black, white, green, or cement. It's a little picky about what packages you select for displaying the truck with the right grille, but you can get the general idea.

My best guess is to have that same exclusivity that makes the PRO sell.

I hadn’t thought of that, I was too hung up on trying to figure out what the difference was supposed to be between Trail Edition and Off-road. Thanks.
