Yea, My Land Cruiser has the surround view camera system.

I agree, that is about the only thing I can think of tech wise this new 2020 is really lacking.

Mechanically I wish it had an 8 or 10 speed trans with a higher speed rear gear set for some fuel economy improvement not asking for a crazy change, I know that is not realistic with a large heavy truck like this but just an extra 2-3 mpg improvement would be nice and I believe attainable with adding some extra gears.

I am good with the 5.7 V8 over all, it has been a well proven engine witch by comparison has a decent amount of tech in it.

The competitions Direct injection systems do have some trade offs in know issues of carbon build up. Ford has come up with a solution that involves yet another set of injectors and vastly more complex fueling system that to me would give me some pause when it comes to long terms of cost of upkeep on that system.

Any 2020 owners want to take picture of the passenger side if their transmission from the wheel well? We have been trying to find out if the 2020s have the same trans cooling as the 19s.
Here is a pic of my 19.
And a pic of my 08.

That’s where I bought mine as well.

Heads up if you don’t like the seat belt buzzer (off road driving, checking cows, hunting, etc), that dealership is extremely versed in the fact that the buzzer is a user preference (as outlined in the owners manual) and they can turn it off for you. They really don’t like bad reviews online or Toyota corporate forwarding responses to their surveys they send. They likely won’t even try to tell you it is against the law to turn it off like they tried to bullshit me with.

My salesman was Marty. I started out with an email to sales department to check availability of the truck I wanted , Marty texted me back, from there I made the deal and bought it via text. That was a first buying a truck via text. Only time we spoke was when I gave him a deposit over the phone. I didn’t meet him in person till I went to pick up the truck a couple days later. It’s 4 hour drive 1 way for me , these guys made it worth the drive. Great guy to work with great dealership too. They really go the extra mile to make a deal.

Did you get the Tire Rack set on? I was getting ready to order them but figured I'd see how you made out first. I saw a review somewhere that said the Wheel Mate covers were too long and would need to be trimmed.

I now have all 3 sets here.
I had also found a set on Amazon for 6.99 that I thought I would try as well.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078KBSCMM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I should know something this weekend .
I have been to busy this week to mess with it, plus I wanted to have all 3 sets in hand so I could see which ones fit, I am thinking they may all fit, I don't know yet.
the 6.99 set do appear to be a little lower quality in terms of the black paint on them.

Here's my 2020 Tundra Platinum CM! It's my first Tundra and I was originally debating between a Power Wagon and a Tundra. Ram reliability and resell value is what pushed me and I have no regrets with the Tundra. It's currently in the shop getting ceramic tint/coating and spray in bedliner and boy do I miss it!

Possibly wheels/tires down the road, maybe a small lift. I have already replaced all of the interior and puddle lights with LED's, has made a huge difference.

The Car Play, slightly larger screen and keyless entry/start are a huge upgrade for me and worth getting the 2020. The new shark fin antenna replacing the old mast antenna is nice too! Also, my 2020 came with the auto climate control. Not sure if they made that standard on SR5 and up, but all of the 2020s I looked at had it.

I'm curious about the dual zone climate control. Some of the 2020 SR5s have it and some don't. Toyota.com only shows it as "Available as part of an option package" but doesn't specify which one. I looked up the VINs of some trucks listed for sale and the ones that do have it all seem have the SR5 Upgrade package. I'm hoping it's part of that even though it isn't listed on the options sheet. I ordered my 2020 with that package to get the 38 gallon tank and this would be a nice bonus.

When I turn on Apple CarPlay and go into my Spotify to play music, some of the songs on a playlist will just disappear. If the playlist has 60 songs, sometimes all 60 songs will show. I’ll start playing a song and when I go back to the playlist to change songs, it’ll only show like the first 20 songs and the rest of the list is gone. A few minutes later all 60 songs might show again. Wtf? This happen to anyone else or anyone have any idea what’s causing it?

Not worth it IMO, but really depends on how badly YOU want the new features on for all intents the same truck. All said and done it will cost you over $10k + an immediate depreciation hit of another $4-5k when you drive it off the lot. If you can, I would wait to see what the next gen brings, so you would get a better upgrade.

That's sounds about right. I am taking that to mean they are really putting $40,280 in your trade.
Which would be a fair number.
So tax aside its costing you about 9K to upgrade trucks. That was about where I was at when I was looking at changing my 2017 for 2018 a couple years ago.
don't get me wrong tax is a real cost just not really something Toyota or the Toyota dealer can do anything about. They can roll it in say they are paying it for you etc, but it still getting paid and coming from somewhere.

Ok, played around with all 3 different black stem covers. They all will screw down on there. That really cheap set from Amazon were a little to short to seat down on there correctly. The ones from Tire rack come with a new black washer the ebay set were the largest and cover the stem the best but didn't come with a new black washer. So you would end up with a silver washer ring at the base.

What I decided looked the best, was the Tire rack set with the black washers, and also a separate set of longer black plastic caps I happen to have in tire parts drawer which worked out great to hide the rest of the silver threads.
