@Roman, if I’m successful in getting dealership to disable my TSS, is there a non TSS Pro grille? I would need it painted Cavalry.

Wouldn't that just be the old pro grille, or just not using the sensor in the new one?

I actually prefer the older grille, but on the sparks website it doesn’t give me the option of Cavalry. I don’t like the new one with the cover underneath ‘Toyota’. I would rather stay chrome than pay almost 1200 to have that cover. It kills me. Kills me!!!

You can't get the new pro grill with cavalry either, both are custom paint

Not sure what you mean. I can order a ‘19 Pro grille in Cavalry. Did you mean that order is a custom paint order?

Correct, they only come from the factory in black, white or voodoo

The 20s will have a few other colors but I don't think cavalry is one of them

They attach to the pegs on the back of the garnish to hold it in securely.

You could always go with the older style Pro grille, though it would have to be painted by a local body shop. We used to offer paint services, but there are so many variations in Toyota paint codes that there were too many parts needing to be repainted for being a shade off. It's much better for the painter to have the vehicle to be able to properly match paint, and if there are any problems with the paint in the future, the body shop is close enough to be able to fix it without having to ship parts across the country again.

The kit is still on the MAC report, meaning the status has not changed. Maybe the guy running the TRD site hasn't gotten with the guy running the manual allocation reports to let him know to take it off of MAC status. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Why does this seem high compared to the Rigid website?

To confirm: yes, these can be put on while the sensor is in place. I wouldn't skip this step. The cover is much more secure with these on, and that's an expensive piece to have fall off on the highway.

Because they are. Technically, the fog lights Rigid sell are not the same as the Toyota lights, but most people are saving some coin by using the lights straight from Rigid and buying the bezels from me.

Thanks @Roman! What’s the big difference? Would it be worth the extra investment?

To me, no, I don't think it is. I'd love to sell a ton of these things, but they're just too much for what they are. That said, some people prefer to keep everything OEM, and do buy the fog lights from me.

@Roman Well said—thank you! Switching gears, I’m about to pull the trigger on the Tundra name plates since I have the Platinum it doesn’t come with them and I love the look.

In addition, I’m looking at buying the TRD Pro headlamps that are blacked out. Besides the headlamps are there any harnesses or addition parts I need? I saw some contradicting comments saying it’s a plug and play and some saying you need a harness.

    Thanks again in advanced.

    Hey @Roman,
Question for ya; I happen to be one of those guys who bought fog lights direct from rigid :anonymous:, and I purchased your bezel's as well. I'm currently using a custom bracket to mount the new rigid lights, and I'm having a hell of a time getting them adjusted properly (by that, I mean I've been too lazy to do it). What are the odds that the mounting bracket from the Toyota fog lights are available to purchase as an individual part? I want to see if that bracket will fit on standard Rigid lights.

Since you have a 2019 Platinum, your headlights use the same plugs that the TRD Sport and Pro models use. You will not need a harness adapter. The only models that will need a harness adapter, are the ones that use a halogen style headlight bulb.

It's all good. They really are expensive for what they are. IF the Rigids were more, I could see going with OEM, but I'd do the same thing. :)

The brackets on the Pro fog lights are actually made on to the fog lights themselves. Toyota does not sell them separately. Must be part of that convenience cost when you get OEM. :D

Has anyone come up with an alternative for the safety sensor cover on the 2019 trd pro grille? It's pretty pricey for a small cover. I have a 2018 with the honeycomb sport grille and I want to put a 2019 trd pro grille on and will need to put the tss into the new grille so the cover is definitely a necessity. Just want to see if they're alternative before I fork out the cash.

    *update

After doing a little digging I found (ares customs dot com) that sells the tss cover for the 2019 pro grille. Its 55 bucks as opposed to 350 for the OEM part. Hopefully this helps those who have the tss and want to swap in a 2019 pro grille.

Only difference in the 2020 Pro grilles is adding Magnetic Gray and Army Green to the color options. The MGM Pro grilles are available now.

It says raw plastic will fade over time and will require painting. Any other alternatives out there?

@Roman question for you on the 2019 trd pro headlights. I just ordered a set a few days ago from your store. Is it me or is the DRL on the 2019 pro brighter than the 2018 DRLs? I saw a new pro on the road recently and the drl on that one looked really bright compared to other models I’ve seen.

So far I haven't found any other alternatives but once mine arrives I'm going to cover/spray it with protectant.

Not that I have seen. The LEDs are the same between the two headlights. I do know there are ways of using the harness to dim the LEDs, but you may want to ask @iHacker about that one.
