The 60 bolts the the 40's mount. As I posted earlier you can remove the 40 but have to retain the majority of it's mount to use the 60.

To remove the 60 you just unbolt it from the 40's mount. Pretty simple

Probably better to remove the 60 then in my case, that mount combined with the jack covers a lot of floor area.

I removed the jack and drilled out the rivets for the mount. Jack is useless for my truck anyway with the current suspensions and tires

This is bomb. I use my truck as work truck and was thinking of taking the seats out to put my 3 toolboxes in. I had them for 4 years right on top of the backseats which sucked. Useless room underneath and the boxes bounce all over. Thanks for posting the info.

The right-side of the 40 mount could be removed, the left side of the 40 mount needs to be reinstalled to support the 60 side. I chose to reinstall right-side of the 40 mount as a fridge tie down point as well as attachment for the underneath storage bin. If you one need one rear seat? Much easier and much more room to pull the 60 side.

    No problemo!
I was the same way and it seemed silly to keep the seats there.
I use those black Home Depot crates with yellow lids and they stack like crazy there now and the only problem was that they are heavy in the large sizes loaded and a pain to rotate in and out to get to the correct one as needed sometimes.

On the other hand the tools were a lot safer there locked in the cab and out of sight than in any bed cover setup that I used at the time!

I returned the seats to normal when I got rid of that truck and now have a Regular Cab Long Bed and DCU Shell with a Bedslide so it is a lot easier to overload this one and I still use the crates when on the road mainly.

I am also looking to remove the 60 seat only and not remove the under seat storage. Is it one bolt and one Allen / torx per side ?

Very helpful thread! Still on the fence re: DCing my rear seats, but I also used the brackets, but without removing the seats. With that useless underseat box gone and the seats in up position there’s still a lot of room. I drilled three rivnuts into the seat brackets and put in a platform (1/2” Baltic Birch). After some use I added a second level and a lightweight (2 lbs!) coroplast box/drawer (25”x18”x7”).

I can remove it all quickly with 6bolts and 2 screws. It’s strong enough for me to lie on (175 lbs).

Don’t forget all that wasted ceiling space too. We made an attic from some Amazon cargo net. Real useful to keep jackets, hats and other light weight clutter under control.
