I hope they do not kill off the 5.7.
    Ford's v6 turbo is junk.
For towing the 5.0 would be better day to day.

This far into the year, I might as well wait for 2020. The 2020 model is rumored to have added some features as the last push to sell the design.
Expect a price bump for those added features. I know when 2020 comes out, there will be 19's laying around also.. so you'll have some options there.

I'd wait, especially on the pro. I ALMOST went pro instead of platinum on my 19, but the pro didnt have parking sensors, BSM, and a few other options which seemed ridiculous on a truck that expensive.

I just purchased a 2019. I did not want the keyless push button start which was the main thing. Otherwise apple car play I can live without. I did hear though there is a oil viscosity change that will happen for the 2020 model year and going forward. Can someone confirm that? Not sure why so with that said I wanted the very last year imo of a great Tundra model.

As far as collector car status goes, I think the 2019 Tundra is right up there. Hold onto your tundra for 20-25 years and you got a gem that will still run. I have Car Play on my Audi. Who gives a sh$%. Doesn't change anything. Those are all gimmicks.
