I’m almost positive that I’m going with a Tundra Pro. Now the only question is, should I wait for a 2020?

When is the 2020 expected to be on dealer lots?

Wait for the 2020 and maybe you can get a better deal on the 2019. It's only about 2 months away.

I may trade my 2019 in on a 2020 if I get a deal on it.

I put 20,000 down on it so I may take a loss on it for a couple grand but washing a black truck sucks

If you can wait, I'd get a 2020.

You really can't go wrong with either but there's some good additions to the 2020.

2019. I prefer a normal key; someplace to put it when you are in the truck. For my wife, keyless is great. She keeps her key in her purse and carries her purse. For me, with perhaps 6 keys and a flashlight I am not going to keep my keys in my pocket. I also suspect traditional keys are still more secure.

I ordered a 2019 Pro in Voodoo blue mainly because its a Pro in Voodoo blue lol. Coming from a 2003 RSX that I've been driving for 16 years, it has way more tech then i'm used too, and I hate the push button start. I wish it had apple car play, but I'll take that colour over a piece of tech any day. It all depends what you are into.

I was able to get to about 90% of sticker in July for same model year w my tundra last summer. Dealerships wanting to clear inventory. A bit better selection I would think than later in August or September. My experience was w sr5 w OR pkg so may be way different w pro.

I paid 91.4% of sticker. I had another dealership closer to 89% but wasnt the color and had more options than I wanted.

I reach out online and dont step foot on their property until I already have firm pricing.

I've had several black cars in the past.....it's best color when washed and washed..........but it'll look that way for about 5 minutes!!!!

I will never own another black car again cause it always looks dirty and scratched cause EVERYTHING shows up on black paint.

If you can, I'd wait for the 2020. From what I've read it will include a larger touch screen (not sure if that's important to you). Also apple car play.

Think they will be similar. Wait and buy a remaining 2019 at the end of the year.

The 19 has most of the kinks worked out. The 20 will have all new stuff they will find out when people start driving them. Seems like most new models is when things go wrong then they start fixing them for the following years. But I just bought a 19 so that’s my thinking anyways. Ha ha.

Why anyone would buy a 2019 , 2 months away from the 2020 refresh is beyond my understanding.

I'd buy a 2019 all day long. CarPlay or not its not going to improve the sound system. Adding an after market head unit is easy.
Get the better deal on the 2019, and after getting the 2019 Limited w/ Premium Package, I kind of wish I just got a TRD Pro.

I don't need the add-ons that I got with the Limited + JBL sound. Already replacing head unit.
With mirrors this good, you don't need the sensors IMHO.

They are within a couple thousand from each other. I like buying towards the end of a generation of car, not a brand new one.

Get the 2019. 2020 will have far less deals, and now you can lock down the 0%. The 2020 is not a refresh.

I dont think Toyota offers 0% on the Pros.
If not in a hurry, wait for the 2020. The new Army Green color is interesting.

oh that's right. Why get a pro though!? Far less features than a limited (parking sensors, leather wrapped steering wheel, dual climate control, jbl, etc.) You can get a limited, get an Icon Stage 2/3 and have a better whip. just my thoughts.

No you're right, the Limited is a great trim level. 1794 and Platinum were too rich for my blood. The Pro is a different truck, I just like simpler. The pro has less that can go wrong in terms of tech. I got the limited because I was hoping the JBL would be good enough. Since I don't do _real_ offroading the Limited is the better choice.

It is not about CarPlay, and buying a aftermarket head unit for a new car is a tad ridiculous. There are far more upgrades in color, push button start to just name a few.

For me, push button start is a reason to buy 2019. I did, and it is one reason why.

That doesn’t answer why, it is just a feeling.
I have push button start on my other 2 cars and it wins hands down. No stupid diffing into my pocket for an udiot pointed key that is 10 years old tech that doesn’t even fold. Zero benefit to a key.

I almost settled on a Platinum - but deep down in my heart I wanted the Pro, and held out until I got one

My wife's Subaru is a push button, I had a push button in my BMW. I honestly don't like the fact you can pull into the garage, leave the car running, and go into the house. I was so happy when I went back to a key.
