I don’t mind handwashing, it’s the wax I don’t have time for. Hence the coating.

I’ve had 2 black vehicles and have loved them every time. They do get dirty, but damn they look good clean.

I’m not so worried about the maintenance on the black truck with the modesta coating. I’m doing the BC08 so it’s a 6-8 year guarantee from my detailer

I tend to enjoy Tundras of all colors...they all look great, eh?
And if they're not somewhat dirty then you're not using it correctly, Ha! :mudding:

With that being said, I went with SuperWhite because New Mexico is fairly warm and sunny for most of the year and 4 of those months are downright scorching!
Black would've gotten too dang hot inside. :bananadead:

Bingo. Black is just too dang hot, and too hard to keep looking good. I do realize that the white color that I have is a SS paint, and that it starts looking chalky after time. But, I have had mine for almost 6 years and it still looks really good. I do wash it regularly, and give it a good clay and wax twice a year. I haven't ever polished it, but I may do that in the future to bring back some of that mirror-gloss look. There is part of me that still has the feeling that it is a "truck". I use the heck out of it, and do take it off road fairly often. It has it's fair share of chips, dings, New Mexico pin stripes, etc. A lot of the small scratches I have been able to fix using some scratch repair from Meguiar's. I imagine that some of the fanatical detailers on this site would scoff at my paint job. But, I think it still shines up pretty nice.

The best part about white, other than the fact that it is cooler in the summer, is I can go wheeling on the weekend, and then go hose the truck off on Sunday evening very quickly and have it looking pretty good with little to no effort.

Great advice...and the white cleans right up with a little hosing off.
New Mexico pinstripes are almost a badge of honor to me...lol!
My wife and I were camping/wheeling a month ago up in Carson forrest and discovered a great 12 mi. trail (FS23) from Abiquiu lake up into the forrest by El Rito that had it all- rocky, rutty, grassy plateau, tight through the trees and brush with a little "Moab iness " in the middle- very fun!
Any paint job would take a bit of a beating.

Yeah I’m in Texas, so there is that. But I’ve gotten in a habit of starting all my vehicles about 10 minutes before I leave in summer and winter. That being said. My SW 4Runner is a very cool car even in 100 plus

Great point on white being cooler. That’s a big plus. When you polish your truck, you’ll see what happens to it after 6 years. No biggie, it’s normal. But it happens slowly. Both white and black Tundras look great; there is no wrong answer!

Black isn't a color. It's a lifestyle choice. You'll spend more time washing it than driving it if you get a black truck. It'll look dirty in 2-3 days. With a white truck it'll look dirty in 2-3 months. You'll have so much more free time with a white truck. Plus a much lower water bill, which means more money in your pocket for Mods.

White is the only logical color option. Don't let the fact that it's also the fastest color distract you.

Truth. I have a super white 4Runner. It’s great, still looks dirty after 2-3 days but not as bad as black.

My dilemma is the super white just doesn’t look as good as the black.

I’m thinking black is much less of a hassle with ceramic coating. Any color but white looks dirty faster.

I hand wash my vehicles once a week anyways. I enjoy that. It’s bonding time with my babies.
