The list is long enough to keep the wife mad for years!
I've received several requests in my inbox to assist in negotiations with dealerships. If your thinking about buying a new truck and need some help, just drop me a note in my inbox. If you need someone to call a dealership and negotiate a deal for you, inbox me the price you are willing to pay, what you're looking for, and the dealership info and let me see what I can do. I don't do this professionally, but I do love seeing someone get a great deal!! Especially fellow Tundra lovers!

@Boomer, I wonder if everyone interested gives you their spec's and you made a deal for all at once. I wonder how much the dealer will budge for all one deal for you.

@G10dra That's an amazing thought concept...we could call it "The Affordable Tundra Buyers Act" or "BoomerCare"....Nope, screw that, MATA "Making America Tundra Again"!

Hello, Toyota dealership? Yes, I'd like to buy 23 Tundras in the following specs and colors...hello? Hello, are you still there? :oldglory:

hahaha, that's very funny but on a serious note @Boomer, you might get some incentives if you bring in new customers. Check with the dealer before hand.

Yeah, Boomer might become a part time auto broker - make some money on the side too.

I thought about paying a broker to find a Tundra but never was convinced of their abilities short of my research I do...

Seeing this makes me want to throw up. I now feel like I got raped with a 5k off MSRP plus tax title and license putting me at about what you got. Again I am in CA where the registration is ridiculous and dealerships are not keen to budge on price so much.

Great buy man! Welcome to the Family

    Really nice truck.
What is the tax in your state. Also, can you tell us the price before tax, title and tags?

2018 crewmax, sr5, upgrade pkg, trd offroad, nerf bars, spray in liner, bed rail system, cement color, $42k OTD. Traded a 2012 sequoia sr5 with 130k and got $18k, so subtract that off the taxes. Truck sticker was $47.5K. (7% sales tax)

@bhall1.85 let me know how you like the tailgate power lock. I was about to buy one for my truck but I’ve heard mixed reviews.

I love the Tailgate power lock. I had one on my 2016 Tacoma also and have never had an issue. It’s a lot better than having to lock it with a key.

I'm looking to get into a Cavalry Blue Crew Max, with SR5 upgrade/TRD OR packages. Am going this weekend to deal with 2 local dealers near Seattle to see what prices I come out with. I am thinking for a 2018 I should see minimum $5k off, but usually 4x4 Toyota's here are tough tough to negotiate. I previously had to go through Costco program to get minimal savings on a 2016 4Runner SR5 when they were in high demand and flying off the lots for winter.

MSRPs I am looking at are ~$46,X00 for 2018 Cavalry Blue Crew Max, with SR5 upgrade/TRD OR packages, Spray on bedliner, Door sills...
Will update with what I can get them down to. I like to think I'm somewhat of a shrewd negotiator so we'll see.

I am looking as well and found that So Cal dealers are hanging onto them even when the 2019 are starting to arrive and only offering about 10% off MSRP before rebates at the best.
Worst I see dealers selling it a MSRP and then taking $2000 rebate off.

I would wait for 15% off MSRP and then add the $2000 rebate on top if you bring your own financing.

It's nuts but yeah, in the PNW most Toyota dealers go $500 under invoice and let you walk...It's crazy but I guess if they know they'll sell them they don't care, they'll hold off and someone will walk in and be happy to pay what dealer is asking.

I bought my 2018 CrewMax 3 weeks ago now and love it. SR5 in cement. Got them down just shy of 15% off MSRP. I felt like I could have got more of I played hardball. I did leave the dealership when I didn’t get my price, but I was the first to make the move (texted him only 1-2 hours later) because I didn’t want anyone else test driving it. Lol I’m weird like that. Thing only had 6 miles on it. I was probably the first to test drive it. Next time I’ll try to have more will power like the ones above that got crazy deals. We’ll see though. Tough to take emotion out.

Good bargaining! $7K off is very good. Did you use the $2000 manufacturer rebate or take the incentivized TFS rates ?

The dealer never loses money - they may have dipped into their holdback / trunk monies up front but actually every time they make the sale, they gain money on the back end - national sales incentives, regional sales, financing/leasing bank flat fee, volume sales, etc...

Cement? Wow, maybe it's the lighting, looks a lot like quicksand color (could be my computer screen too). Nice truck no matter what color it is.

Not sure how many Canadians are on here, but Toyota is clearing out the 2018s with a $6,000 cash incentive from factory. Trims like Platinum, Limited have about $5,000 of markup. So close to $10,000 discount if paying cash (or arranging own financing) is easily doable right now if you can find a 2018 in spec you want.

Here is an example: This is a TRD Off Road and they have a $9,500 markdown.

    Wow, that's amazing!

Wish we get those offers here in the US.

California is $3,000 rebate from factory but dealers are not marking their discount much even though the 2019 are arriving....

Believe toyota will not allow dealers to advertise prices under invoice. They will go under invoice if you go in and beat them up.

$42k for a 2018 Platinum......Hmmm.... Two things about this thread raise questions. First, I have a 2018 Platinum and a spray-in bed liner. What was the dealers reasoning as to why the could not do it for you. Second, that price of $42k is unreal. I would love to see your paperwork on this. $42k with all those add-ons leaves me a bit skeptical. That is over $14k off MSRP.. The group could use your quote as leverage when buying a Tundra... Congrats on the purchase! Those are some amazing negotiating skills for sure!

Congrats thats a good deal! I bought the same truck @ $42K before TTL at very end of August. I wanted to wait longer for 19M to hit the lot but it was the only MGM sport in 180+ miles.
