Interested in a Tundra double cab SR5 with SR5 Upgrade, Convenience, and alloy wheels I found on a lot. Also mildly interested in the same truck on the same lot with a TRD O/R package added, but after test driving both, I'm leaning a little toward the non-TRD.

Anyway does anyone have any recent price info that they've seen on similarly equipped trucks?

    Thanks

    Here is mine...

Got it for 41K out the door with a few extras thrown in like tri fold tonneau cover, spray bed liner, tail gate extender and window tint.
Double cabs along the same trim level are going for upper 30’s to low 40’s here.

I was looking at a 2018 SR5 with steel wheels and no upgrades, as far as I could tell. They wanted $36,400 out-the-door at the dealership. It was a double cab, not the big four door seen above though.

This seems to vary regionally. Mine was stickered at about 46, and I got it out the door at about 42.

SR5, TRD O.R., upgrade pack, rubber floor mats.

They were offering a choice of low APR vs. a cash rebate. I took the low APR. the rebate would have taken it down to about 40.5.

This was in April, before the introduction of the ‘19 was looming. You may have more bargaining power now.

Probably a stupid terminology question, but stickered as in MSRP or stickered as in that was the dealership's asking price on the sticker?

The list is long enough to keep the wife mad for years!
Just bought this 2018 4x4 Platinum yesterday. 52k sticker. They threw in sidebars, tri-fold bed cover, all weather mats, window tint, (they can't spray in a bedliner on a Platinum with a sunroof) 48 months of maintenance, 36k bumper to bumper, and a locking metal gunsafe that goes in the center console. Got them down to 42k then traded in my 2011 4x2 Platinum Tundra with 93k miles on it and they gave me 21,500 for the trade-in. So don't let anyone tell you Tundras do not retain value.

Hell, I couldn't get them to go lower than $40600 (before rebate) on a 2018 TRD O/R double cab with SR5 upgrade yesterday. I walked.

You were able to get 10 grand off of sticker? Where is this Toyota dealership located? Next time I am flying there to get my next Toyota!

My 18 Double Cab 5.7L SR5 Upgrade and Alloy wheel double cab was stickered for 40,575 MSRP and I walked out the door if I remember correctly for 37k and that was after taxes licensing etc and I thought I got a pretty good deal. This was in May of this year.

EDIT I got pretty much 5-6k off sticker.

When I was shopping in January the going rate for an SR5 in my area was about $37K out the door. That was for just the SR5 package essentially and most still had steel wheels.

I wound up going the certified route due to my budget. Scored a set of the TRD OR alloy wheels for $500 and swapped them over. Managed to stay under $30k all in after window tint and wheels, plus it came with a Line-X already. I pretty much was at the top of my budget there.

Given that this isn’t a regional form out the door isn’t a very helpful. On these kinds of threads it’s easier to compare apples to apples if you just talk about the price of the truck. Mentioning back office costs separately can be helpful too.

It seems like regional prices vary due to dealers stock availability, or number of dealers within a reasonable driving distance... so it’s not always apples to apples, but still much closer than when you include taxes, licensing and doc fees.

Just wanted to put that out there. I’ll go away now :)

That’s a good point. Around here that’s including 5.5% sales tax plus usually $200 for titling fees. Even though I think it’s only $50 to title at DMV.

The list is long enough to keep the wife mad for years!
Jacksonville, FL Arlington Toyota, ask for Fred (there is only one). He is the fleet manager. I won't deal with a salesperson, I didn't show up to the dealership to be walked around the truck and taken on a test drive. I showed up to negotiate the price of a truck and write a check. I recruited for the Army for 12 years, I know how to negotiate, or for better words, I know when to talk and when to shut up. If you want a 2018 Tundra, now is the time to buy one, dealerships need to get rid of them before the 2019 models arrive in mid to late September. Also, only buy a truck with a few days remaining in the month. The dealership is more willing to lose money on a deal if it gets them closer to their volume bonus from corporate. I made sure they understood that by not giving me a great deal on my Tundra trade-in, is essentially telling me that these trucks do not hold their value, so I should just go buy something else.

However, I started the negotiations without any trade-in. I asked about a trade-in ONLY after I got the price down to where I felt they were done discounting. I picked up the phone a few times right in front of them and called another Toyota dealership and asked if they would match or do better than the deal I was being offered. A dealer on the phone is a valuable asset to you as they are willing to give you "free" advice if not to earn your business, but to simply stick it to their competition. I have always said, do your research before you buy. I wasn't even sure if I got the best possible deal, it was just a deal I was comfortable with paying...to each their own. Good luck on closing that deal!

    Too many to list here.
I joined the forums today bc I just bought a 2017 SR5 Crewcab 4x4 with 31,000 miles for $36500 OTD. It was $33,000 for the truck. It had been on the lot 93 days at a Chevy Dealership and was tucked off in the corner. Only Tundra they had in stock. I'm super happy and feel like I got a really good deal.

paid 37.5k OTD on my new double cab TRD off road (that was before the $1500 toyota discount) about a month ago. it was roughly 5500 off the sticker price. it was the lowest price I could get from 7 dealerships in my area. most weren't even close and were fine with me walking out on a sale. must be enough demand out there. this was metro-west boston/southern NH...

I offered 45k for a new 1794 edition where they were asking 47,200 and the dealer wouldn't budge.

I also offered 41.5k at another dealer for a limited they were asking 46k for. No budging on price for either. Thought I could get a deal on the last day of the month, but no dice

Mine was a used 2015 with 8k miles. Gave 33k for it which I thought was a good price for a SR5 TRD off road. Super clean and it doesn't look like it ever even saw a dirt road. Only had her a month now but I love her.
