The only reason I'm holding out with getting these for my Pro is because I'm a bit confused about the relay wiring.

Thats cool... pm me with the link when you do have the harness made for a SR5. Btw a 2016 SR5 and a 2017 wiring diagram is the same right?

    Installed mine over the weekend.

Thanks @thomasbus337 for putting this thing together and putting it out there for the rest of us. I had a few issues and he was nice enough to coach me through.

Once you have all the parts putting together everything isn't that hard. I ran into a few issues. First was just a 'stupid I don't wire shit up that often' one. I had the main harness right but wasn't getting any light. Turns out I had the wires mixed up on the gray connectors for the marimoto box. Make sure the powers and grounds match up there.

Second was/is that I can't get the drls the right power. I have a trd pro so I don't have factory drls. Moving the purple wire to a new plug isn't an issue. Finding switched power under the hood/under hood fuse box seems to be my problem. I have a fuse tap that I've been trying to get to work but haven't found a good slot for it. I'm starting to think just to tap into a wire? Any suggestions?

Overall pretty happy with this mod. Thanks again to @thomasbus337 for all the help.

I've had the drls on with constant power...so that gives me hope.

It is just a matter of finding switched power.

    Great job:thumbsup: so far,

This is the only reason why I haven't started to buy all the stuff yet for my Pro.

I have the drls on the light bar to fall back on.
I think the upgrade of the lights alone make it worth it for me.

I purchased the headlights right when roman posted the links knowing that this community would figure out a retrofit in no time. I'm hoping the same for the drls.

Hello fellas! You guys are geniuses! My question is, are there any of these pnp harnesses for sale right now, rather thru here or ebay? I receive my 2018 lights today, and I'd like to purchase (paypal) a pair asap. I know I'm not the only one wanting one obviously, but I didn't know if there was a waiting list, or some already assemble ready for sale? I see the list of parts, and pins, and everything, but that all looks like a foreign language to me lol. Any help or info would be much appreciated. Thx- 2015 sr5

So do we have to upgrade the high beam wires? I don't use my high beam that much with living in town and highway to work. Otherwise I have a motocontrol already in place.

I didn't install the high beam relay when i did mine. I may go back and do it. @thomasbus337 is this just a precautionary thing?

He already mentioned that TRS confirmed it should be ok to run it without the relay. Personally i won't be using it as I believe in keeping it slim with as a little parts for less chance of failures. But if you are a type to be on the safe side, it doesn't hurt to run the relay. Either way should be fine honestly. Think of Relays as extra precaution.

No ebay links yet. I'm still waiting on a bunch of the 8pin plugs and a few other parts to come in. Just so no one will be surprised, the 1794/Platinum model harnesses have about $60 worth of parts put into them and the other models even more. I'm not trying to get rich off of these, trying to break even with what I have put into them.

Thanks thomasbus337 for the update. I am anxiously awaiting your harness.

Same here.... got the headlights in cart already and ready to fire once the harness is a go. I could go ahead and buy the headlights but I really don't want to take that risk until I know I have the harness to get it to work. Also I'm really new to all this and this might be a stupid question but is this set up for a LED or HID?

    Got it to work, almost.

Passenger side is good. Drivers side has juice just needs a new connector because I seemed to mess that one up.

I wasn't able to use the fuse tap under the hood. Ran it to the interior fuse panel under driver side. Put the fuse tap in the 3rd spot down from the dash, so working your way down. It is vacant. Seems to work! Start and they are on. Off and they are off.
    Pictures attached.

I am by no means an electrical genius so take my findings with a grain of salt. I'll update you later tonight when my truck is on fire.

@thomasbus337 , for the 4 square connector on the diagram below, I am assuming that that wiring is for the harness we are making? Or is it the connector that stays in the Truck? The 8 pin is obvious since we don't have that connector on our truck so I'm also guessing thats the pinout for the harness we are making? Please confirm.

Thanks again for all the work you did. I'm going to start making my harness as my headlamps will arrive next week.

Looking good, Do the DRL LED's dim when you turn on the lights? This is what I remember when I went to the dealer and tested the lights on the 2018.

Switch off, all the light are off even with the truck running. Switch to "DRL" position and the DRL LED's come on bright. Turn on the LED headlights and the DRL LED's dim.

Yes the DRL's will dim and become the parking light when the headlights are on. The female four pin plug is what you will be assembling to make the DRL portion of the harness. The male 4 pin plug is already present on 1794 & Platinum.

Yes, you will disable the Amber drls and reconfigure a few wires to power the LED drls and parking lights. I'll have pics and a how to once the remaining plugs arrive.
