    All,

Been surfing on here about all the different folks seeking a harness for your 2018 led lights. Like @Roman said TRS out of Atlanta will also be making the pnp harness.

It's easily lost in all the posts on here.

I switched it back to how you had it! The DRL wouldn't turn on if the headlights were set to auto and it was bright outside the way I had it. But here's a video of how it functioned while in the garage. https://youtu.be/qEI-jz9BZJ8

I wanna give a huge shoutout to @thomasbus337 and @BlueBottle for helping me get my headlight harnesses complete. Not going to lie, I spent alllllll day on the computer refreshing the page the day the 8 harnesses were originally going to be listed for sale. I even PM'd a moderater asking him to allow @thomasbus337 to sell the harnesses so I can get my hands on one.

I missed out the second day when they were listed, but it was a blessing in disguise as it helped me step out of my comfort zone and do something that I was intimidated to try. After some guidance from these guys mid instal, I finished up my project and I couldn't be more happy!! They work flawlessly, and I am happy I learned how to do something new!!!!!! It took me a while, but they are done!!
    IMG_8314.jpgIMG_8316.jpg

My advice to those that are considering doing this, watch videos online how to crimp terminals for weatherpack connectors. And make sure the orientation for your harnesses are correct (make sure they aren't upside Down

Yep, after I flipped the red and purple wires around like Thomasbus recommended (because I had them backwards) it works like OEM. Did you see the video I posted a couple of comments before this? It shows THE DRL stay bright because I had the black connector wires backwards, but now it dims when the headlights are on.

In addition, I would welcome/compensate if some one could post a video of the SR5/Limited/Pro of the 2018HLs and DRL install...

    Thanks

Can anyone tell me what is used in #86 and #30 of the relay for the SR5? I'm assuming it is the two wire that are coming off the in line fuse holder?

Also how do I find the gray wire that goes in #85? This is the wire I cut under the steering wheel.

I'm getting closer to understanding this just need a little more help.

Your LED DRL now dim with the parking lights? I want mine to work like they do on my 14’ platinum now. I don’t think they dim with the parking lights; only with the headlights on.

I kind of like the idea of them always being on full brightness.

haha, if you can't imagine it I'll have to make a new video. LOL

Thanks bro!!!!! I am so glad I installed them!!

I like them on full brightness too, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet. When I had the wires reversed it worked on full brightness, but then the DRL turned off when the lights came on, (if I remember correctly), so I just put the wires back how they were supposed to be. The platinums dim from the factory when the headlights turn on. The way the wire harnesses are setup, they don't dim when the parking lights are on, only when the headlights are on. Thats what mine do too, only dim when the headlights are on.

Thank you so much @thomasbus337 for the harness. I got the headlights installed and I love them. Then only problem is my blinker started clicking fast indicating bulb is out. all the lights are working properly so not sure, has anyone else had this issue?

Sounds like you may need to install a resistor. Been watching some videos on LED lights and those lights draw less power. The truck thinks the light is out when its not a resistor can fix that. Someone else may have another solution however.....

What turn led turn signal bulb do you guys recommend to use on the 2018 housings? I read that the tritons are a good upgrade but wanted to see other options. If I'm not mistaken the 2018 headlights use a different bulb 7444na..

If he is using the conventional bulbs it shouldn’t blink fast.

here is a video I made if anyone wants to see the '18 headlights installed and wired up like it is supposed to be.
Cycled through park light only, Lows, Fogs, High beam, DRL only etc.
You can see the DRL on full brightness around 0:52 seconds which is when I started the truck and let go of the Parking Brake.

Just got done installing the headlights and having the same issue as @AK-in-MI. Installing @thomasbus337's harness and the Morimoto Motocontrol H4 relay was a breeze (thanks to @thomasbus337) but the issue I'm having is the fast blinking turn signals. Interestingly enough, when I turn on the hazards, they blink at the normal pace. But when I turn on either right or left turn signals, they blink really fast like a bulb is out.

Also, I feel like the DRL may not be getting brighter (stays dim) when I switch to parking lights. I will double-check this in the morning since I'm pooped from a long day, but the 2014 factory DRL seemed much brighter. Because it's too dark right now, I can't test it in "Auto"

Any ideas guys?? I'm using the turn signal bulbs that were shipped with the headlights and have not switched the pins. Any guidance is appreciated.

You have to re-pin the connector the 2018 pins are different to older models look at the diagram and check for that in your pins this might solve your problem
