    Look like cool bulbs.

So, dumb question as I might just order a set, do we need the "load resistor" add on for our trucks? I hate bulbs that flash too fast ha

Always works that way. I just ordered all the parts last night. I'm guessing it might be a little cheaper for me to make them myself.

    Good info for others.

I mounted them on the black metal cross member above the bumper. You can kind of see them laying flat in this pic.

I mounted mine behind the tail lights. There's a lot of room back there. I don't think it matters where it's mounted as long as it's connected to the turn signal wires.

Someone might want to confirm that.

After tons of research, It seems that @thomasbus337 method is the only way to get High/Low beams to work together via Relay Harness. I will begin to produce these harnesses beginning next week or so once parts arrive. Harnesses will include the Morimoto H4 harness.

As for DRL's, (NONE PLATINUM Trims) It will use my PNP harness for retrofit LED's that will be powered by the Ignition fuse via fuse tap. The brightness will remain on High even with headlights are on. If you want the DRL to dim when lights are on please request it.

So are you saying to get the high and low beams on a 1794/platinum to work at the same time the additional relay @thomasbus337 posted is a must? Or is that just for the SR5/limited/TRD Pros? We can't just use the morimoto safely? Several members on here are running the high and low beams at the same time with just the morimoto, and not the additional relays.

Yes for both low and high beams to work at the same time the Relay harness is a must. The morimoto relays is the most efficient.

Ok so just to clarify we need to create this in the post below using the Hella Relays?

Or just the morimoto itself is sufficient?

I got an email from them today. They say they are about a month or two out with the harnesses. That is why I had to order the the connectors after my initial order. Either way, I just got my headlights delivered and harness making parts are on their way. Soon enough, I will have the new headlights on.

The extra Hella relay is only needed if you wanted to upgrade the wiring for the high beam circuit. I used 16 gauge wire throughout the harnesses that I put together. The high beam wiring on the H4 Morimoto harness is 20 gauge. TRS said it would be sufficient to operate the High beams since they have a low amperage draw. I used the high beam power and ground outputs on the Moto harness to trigger a relay and ran 16 awg from the relay to the high beam circuit.

OK, sorry for the noob questions just want to make sure I understand this fully. So if the lighting harness is made using 16 gauge wire, is that hella relay an extra precaution, or is it now actually necessary since the entire headlight harness will be made out of 16g wire?

I basically did it as an extra precaution and to try out/test my wiring layout

Just a quick shout-out to @Roman and crew. Ordered my 2018 headlights on Tuesday (3 days ago) and just received the tracking info. Great, responsive customer service as well. Excited to have the new headlights on early next week :bananadance:

@thomasbus337 do you have to switch any pins around with the harness you made on a 14-17 Pro?
