2018 Tundra grille

just picked up a 18 cement limited on friday, very interested in color matching the grill, may try ordering the pro grill from roman, using the frame and having a body shop paint the inside of my stock one to keep the emblem sensors intact. anyone have any luck with this yet?

Anyone that’s removed the chrome hood bulge to a color matched one, did it come with that black support uner the hood bulge? Or did you have to remove your old one and put it on new one???

 

It came with the black piece.

 

I didn't want all the chrome in the front but still wanted a little so I just replaced the hood bulge. Also add paint matched mirror backs and door handles. Black badges, fender flares as well.

 

Although I didn't think it would look right (half paint/half chrome), now that I actually see it I think it looks very good. Where did you get the painted bulge and is it the same part number as for the 2017 Tundra?

I think I am going that way if I can get one in Midnight Black Metallic (218).

 

Hey brother. Yep I was concerned at first but IMO it’s just too much chrome. Got it from eBay from a dealer. Only thing left I really want is the sport hood scoop. Jim

Hi Adam - I have a black 2018 Tundra Limited and want to get rid of the chrome. Where did you get the red grill surround?

You have to buy a new grill with the surround. They don’t sell them separate.

 

ditto, on my 2014 limited

 

Any tricks on removing the 2018 grille? Having difficulty removing the bottom portion.

 

use a heat gun and a small flathead screwdriver.
