I want a TRD Pro grille like the one on years past for my 18 Tundra. Paint colored with a black insert. Where the heck do I find one that will fit my truck?

Can you not transfer those features over to a new grill with some moding? just curious

I think I read someone did it recently but I didn’t see any pics or details. The sensors are built in to the large emblem on the grill. You might be able to remove them and re-mount them but I don’t know if that will cause other problems or not. Definitely do some research if you want to try that out.

The safety feature issue is exactly what I’m afraid of. Was hoping someone smarter than me knew a way to make it work. I’d even settle for the same style grille but paint colored instead of chrome.

You could take it and have it painted at a paint shop or do it yourself.....just a thought:D

Yes all the new TSS features are imbedded in the Toyota emblem. A Toyota pro grille will fit, but as stated you will lose the new safety features associated with it. Having a body shop paint to match is probably your best option right now...there is rumor of a new trd pro grille but Little is known about it at the moment per @Roman.

I just put on a color matched grill surround and hood bulge on my 2018 Limited.

    27522ca0e162f300bfb0ffcbca618dbf_42e4710a1a422d60dff03b708f377b7882cd108c.jpg

I plan on painting the grill insert black and the narrow silver bars are separate pieces that can be removed and I am going to paint them Inferno.

Similar to what LimitedCMAX did on TT:

Edit: not sure if that link is working right. It’s post # 29 to see the grill pic.

I know a guy with a body shop. But I might just rattle-can it with some self-etching primer. And I can get my Inferno paint from
    http://www.automotivetouchup.com/

But I might see how much my friend will charge to color match the whole bumper. :)

I’m just glad I got rid of the chrome!
Not sure if I want to spend the money to paint the bumper, especially if I’m going to replace the bumper anyway.

Silverhack that truck looks great. Anyone know if I can just buy a '17 grille and use the surround/hood bulge from that?

Yes you can. I bought a pro grill and will be selling the insert to someone that already has the surround or we might try retrofitting the safety sense into it at a later time

Yes, you should be able to. @Roman has a list of parts that are frequently inquired about listed here: https://www.tundras.com/threads/ultimate-oem-toyota-parts-thread.10707/
You could buy the whole cement Pro Grille and Hood Bulge and sell the insert. There are plenty of us who would have liked to just buy the Pro insert, but had to buy the whole grille assembly (surround and insert) just to get the insert.

That’s what I did. I bought the whole TRD Pro grill in Inferno and sold the Pro insert.

That grille will look nice black. Would look tough and be tough with some spray on bed liner. Easier than paint too.

I think I paid $80 shipping for my TRD Pro grill with the Inferno surround and hood bulge. If it’s $500 just for the shipping cost only you should PM him to confirm if the shipping info is correct. Every once in a while there might be a problem calculating the shipping costs and it could be off.
