Please do. I was planing on doing a retrofit, but if I can make these fit and they have decent light output, I'll be ordering a set from you. Thanks

So, I have some great news!!! I confirmed that the wiring harness part # for my '17 Platinum matches identically to the '18 Platinum harness part #. Therefore, the new Platinum LED head lamps should be a plug a play for those that have a '17 and prior year Platinum and or 1794 (I assume the 1794 has the same head lamps as my Platinum?). Regardless, I just placed the order through Cool Springs Toyota for the new '18 head lamp assemblies and will let everyone know if they are plug and play (fingers crossed) once I receive them.

Do you have a picture of your plugs? Because from romans pictures they have a new plug for the main headlights.

I don't, but Toyota's part# for the Platinum harness on the '18 is identical to the '17. So, maybe the harness will work with the Platinum's and 1794...wishing thinking anyway :) Did Roman specify if the harness is a new plug for all models?

Pretty sure these headlights are not on the platinum, but on a platinum sport. You would need to check and see if there is a different harness for the platinum sport.

Well, heck. Thanks for the heads up, and I am sure you're right. I am keeping my fingers crossed though and worst case, I can use a harness that hopefully someone on this great forum makes.

Edit: After looking at the pictures on Toyota's website, it appears the new '18 Sport has the head lamps that Roman posted pics of. However, it appears that the rest of the model lineup receives the exact same head lamp, except in a non-sport tinted housing. So, maybe the '18 Platinum and 1794 housing are plug and play whereas the sport dark tinted housing is not?

Ordered the '18 LED Platinum head lamps, '18 LED fog lamps, and wire harnesses from Roman (Cool Springs). What an awesome guy. So, he confirmed the LED fog lamps are a plug and play with my '17 harness. However, he also confirmed that the '18 Platinum at his dealership has the 10 plug connector for the head lamps, and my '17 has a 4 plug. So, I ordered the two 10 plug connectors for the new head lamps and will try and get a friend to mod a harness for them to work. Can't wait to install the new '18 LED's.

You have a platinum though right? With LED DRL's already?

Wondering how this would work with my 16 SR5 without DRL's.

Please let us know what was done to the harness and connections.

Yes, I have a '17 Platinum with the LED DRL's already. I am not sure how that would work with your '16, but maybe Roman can help answer that question. He did confirm that the '18 Platinum is a 10 pin connector, whereas my '17 is a 4 pin. I had him order me 2 of the 10 pin's. So, fingers crossed that me and my resources can quickly fab a workable harness.

@Roman are you planning on getting your own harness made to sell with the headlights or would we be on our own?

I doubt it. It's one thing to be liable for Toyota parts, but it's another to be liable for third party stuff.

This is what I've been wondering. There have been plenty of people to post them on their lots and daytime pics but I have yet to see the led headlight output shot at night. If the light output looks good I'm sure there will be a lot more people ready to purchase. I'm on the fence myself until I can see the output pics.

agreed... i'm sitting here waiting for delivery of a spare set of headlights so i can start my retrofit but before i get too far down that road, i really want to see the light output of the new 2018 LEDs... Call me cynical but I think they're more for looks than performance. I'd be surprised if they got LEDs to throw down nearly as much light as a projector... they'll probably be a ton better than current stock though... I have a flashlight that's better than that.

My thoughts are the current lights are bad not terrible, so if the new LED's are better it will make my situation good not great which I am ok with. Knowing that I will keep for the most part an OEM+ appeal to my electronic system. Don't get me wrong if there is no improvement with the new LED's I will not spend the money just for the sake of being different. I will most likely bite the bullet and upgrade to a projector housing and Hid lights but I consider that to be a Plan B.
