Thanks! I have a 2017 Tundra Limited with the Non-DRL halogen and will I need to re-pin anything?

I’ve notifed people commenting on your videos about the turn signal and any input would be appreciated.

Though the harness itself is completely plug n play, due to the fact that the new headlights use a 7443 front turn signal bulb inside the lights versus the original 3157/4157 - you will just need to re-pin the connector coming from your truck in order to make the blinker work properly. Simply swap the purple & black wire and good to go. :)

I recently installed the OEM Tundra Sport LED headlights in my 2016 Tundra, using the iHacker harness. Although they seem to be working and look good, I am disappointed with the light output. Particularly in dawn / dusk times, the output is substandard. We have two other vehicles in the home ( one with OEM projector xenon - Porsche / one with OEM LED - Subaru ), and the Tundra lights are about half as bright as either. Does anyone else have this issue? Could it be a wiring issue? I have the dimming DRL harness.

The output on the tundra’s LED’s are better than the stock halogens it once had, but at the end of the day the output is just ok not phenomenal. They are still reflector housings and not projectors.

I’m pretty sure the Porsche blows it out the water, so does my wife’s BMW X3 but those aren’t really fair comparisons because they are more expensive vehicles.

Yeah, I felt this when I switched from retrofitted headlights to the new LEDs, took me about a week to get used to the new output which is not that bright compared to either HID or LED projector based headlights, unfortunately there’s nothing we can do to fix this.

LED boards can be modified but that’s another story I don’t want to step in, this involve bake your headlights and take them apart to modify everything possible

Give them a while and like happened to me I barely notice the difference nowadays. They only thing I’m pretty sure is I hated that ugly yellowish stock headlights and did everything possible to get rid of them on day one after delivery of my truck.

I also have a Acura MDX with LED projectors and there’s a huge difference in output if I compare them.

Thanks for the confirmation with my experience. I would likely have gone the projector route if I had known the output was substandard. Given the cost, I am disappointed for sure. Anyone looking to do this conversion should realize that the look is far superior, but the function is marginally better than stock.

If you doing the conversion the LED fogs is a must to complement the setup and compensate the weak output

You have many choices OEM, Morimoto XB, RIGID OEM, RIGID SAE D2s etc...

I agree with you, but one thing the aftermarket projectors is not going to give you is oem quality and reliability.

Look into getting Baja designs squadron sports in clear cornering Lens for your fogs, they will make up and then some for the headlights short coming.

As of right now, our back order report is showing us to be getting a large shipment of them on 12/8. Most of them are sold already, though.

2018 SR5 with halogen headlights. Per the pictures below, do I need the non-LED DRL adapter or not when I upgrade to the LED headlights?
Is the DRL in the headlight shown below an LED DRL?
    Thanks.

@FoghornTX it’s built in to the headlight the lower LED DRL.. you’ll need to get with @iHacker to get your order in for the plug n play harness adapter..

Are these the headlights on your truck now?

Yeah, the ones in the picture are OEM when I purchased it and they are on my truck right now. The OEM LED headlights are showing up tomorrow.

I have a black ‘17 CrewMax LTD and wondering what color housing to go with.

I know the TRD Pros look to be the preferred choice but per @Roman look to be out of stock.

I’m more of a chrome guy anyways so trying to decide between smoked or regular chrome.

Any feedback or even pictures would be appreciated.

    Hey @FoghornTX

I was thinking about the regular chrome ones as well. Do you by chance have any pics of them on the truck?

Not yet. Wife just texted me and said that a whole bunch of boxes showed up at the house. They must be the LED headlights, Morimoto LED fogs, and boxes of AR15 parts.

Backorders hit everyone this time of year, it's tough to keep up sometimes. We have had ours sold out pretty quick as well, but I believe we are getting more in soon.

    @Roman

Is there a particular housing that is more readily available than the other? Or are all of the headlights in general back ordered?

Appreciate any insight you may have.

That would be interesting. The performance of them already is great though, and I personally love the look of them stock. It would be neat to see what people would come up with!

The chrome and black housing headlights (0C140's and 0C210's) are more readily available than the TRD Pro headlights (0C211's). That tee tiny bit of extra black is costing people weeks of wait times. :D

I am one of them fools waiting (backordered) for that extra black in the pro headlights. I have a service this Saturday at the stealership. Who knows, they might have a 19 PRO there waiting for me.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas!

I have a 17 Black Limited CM. I’m trying to decide between the TRD Pro headlights or the chrome ones.

I don’t plan to dechrome my truck and needing feedback on which would look best.

I think I’m going this route as it would probably match best. Appreciate the feedback.
