The mounts for the BD are sturdy. They are solid pieces of metal. The issue is the fog surround is only clipped onto the bumper w plastic clips. Need to make sure the clips secure it. When you remove the surround incorrectly you compromise the clips causing it to be lose.

No. Your oem surround needs to be in good condition or else it will shake.

Hey guys...crazy question. What do I do with the one "plug" on the Morimoto harness? There are two "sockets" that came out of the old halogen bulb socket and one Morimoto plug. Everything else is connected except these 3 (two sockets and 1 morimoto plug). Do you leave all of these disconnected and tape them up?

(no idea what to call them but sockets and plugs like an outlet....lol)

I will be installing these tomorrow and was reviewing the instructions and harnesses. Each Platinum/1794 harness includes 3 plugs: 1) Low beam (connect to moto Ballast) 2) High beam (connect to moto High) and 3) an unmarked plug. Where does this 3rd unmarked plug go to?

Where did you connect the ground wires? I can connect the one on the left headlight to the ground from the battery....but what about the right headlight? Any easy place for it?

Once you remove the platinum headlight your led drl has its own plug. That’s where you plug the other 4 pin into.

Next to the air filter housing is a ground junction on the fender support.

Also the washer bottle support has a 10mm bolt and power steering bracket has a 10mm bolt that can be used

    Inferno,

Well it’s now 1:30 am and wouldn’t you know it the short harness on passenger side from headlight connection that branches out to led, low beam, and high beam is shorting out. It’s only the of all things the led green wire. I got everything put back together and the led on passenger side flickers when line wiggles plus my fuse tap came apart had to wire nut that back together.

I’m thinking I paid a buck 80 with no quality control. My luck as always.

Again thanks for your help tonight

Everything is working EXCEPT the blinkers. I'm getting hyper flash. Is this because I haven't cut the gray wire inside the fuse box? I thought you only cut this if you want to delete the "always high" LED DRLs. I would like to keep the LED DRLs on high all the time.

Did you swap the white/blk & purple wire at the 3 pin connector at the blinker bulb

I realized I swapped them incorrectly...I swapped them looking straight at the connector....not the numbers on the other side....geez. :/ they blink normal now.

So, cutting the gray wire does what exactly....cuts off the ALWAYS HIGH WHITE LED DRLs when the headlights turn on? Or does it have something to do with the Amber DRLs? Last question...swear. HA

Thin gray wire just cuts the Amber drl, the bright led will still stay bright all the time.

Its possible the pins are not fully seated in the connector. I'll get a replacement out to you ASAP!

Not sure why the fuse tap came apart. The company I order them from usually have good quality products. If you need another i'll send an extra fuse tap.

Ok, I must be doing something wrong trying to re-pin the turn signal plug. When I read the instructions to "push down on the tab", I interpret this as push straight down on the tab from a looking down into the plug. When I do this, the wire is not budging in the slightest. I do not want to break the plug and it appears that it is already starting to damage the tab. Am I interpreting these instruction correctly or does the tab have to be pushed from one side to another?

Thanks INferno, but I'm not clear on what you mean by "pulling away from the pin". Can you please clarify?

Thanks for getting out the new part! Ya the fuse tap came apart at the crimp, it looks like they over crimped it? I had a small wire nut and wrapped it in electrical tape. I think I’m good but if you want to send another it’s up to you.

Thanks again for your help. I just want to get this done. Please let me know when you ship the harness. Buildn01@aol.com Thanks!
