Is the morimoto h4/9003 bi xenon on your website the correct motocontrol?

Anyone else have issues with defective connectors and a slow response to fix the issue? I have 2 pins that won't stay put on two separate 9006 connectors. One female 9006 arrived broken. Currently electrical tape is holding these connections together.

Leo said he has switched suppliers, but I've been waiting almost a month now for replacements.

Hi Leo and forum guys, I've connected everything up and it all seems to work on my TRD Pro. But, it seems that routing the wires the way most of you guys have to the passenger sides leaves one of the 9006 connectors (the one tied to passenger ground) about 6-8 inches short from connecting to the headlight. Placed the Morimoto near the battery like I've seen.

Using Leo's kit...what am I missing? How did you guys route the connections over? Appreciate any help, truck is apart and I need to pick up my kid in a few hours!

Okay I'm a noob to this whole conversion stuff, but I just purchased 2018 Tundra TSS and want to convert everything to LED, what all would I need? I kind of tried to skip around the forum to see but haven't seen any clear, concise answers. Thanks in advance!

To use the 2018 led headlights, you only need the headlights and this harness to convert them

f.jpg thumbnail[1].jpg Thanks eledobleu. Plug and Play was flawless and fast. Two hours from start to finish with replacing the headlights and the harnesses. Everything went off without a hitch. Forgive the wheels and tires in the pic, winter here and salt on the roads just kills everything so the good wheels and tires are off for the winter.

I got my lights installed yesterday but they don't work 100% right - any help is appreciated...

With the engine off, everything works like it is supposed to.

With the engine on, the DRL's work until I turn on the headlights. When I do, the drivers side DRL goes out completely. when I turn on the high beams, the headlights and the passenger DRL shimmer from normal to a lower level, and back and forth quickly.

I have heard of people getting a bad Morimoto. Could this be my issue?

@eledobleu Got a question. Do you happen to have a picture or reference (apart from the guide on your main post) in regards to how the repin of the blinker should look? I thought I had it right last night, but i’m still getting a fast blink. Now that I’ve switched the wires a couple times, I can’t for the life of me remember what stock was. Knowing the order of the 3 colors (with a reference point), would be a huge help.

Hey everybody, Just got my harness in on Tuesday and my headlights showed up today. I wont be able to install till tomorrow since I have to head to work here shortly but I had some questions about the install. I went through every page and read about some of the common issues folks were having and I'm torn if I want to cut the grey wire or not. It not that big of a deal I was planning on cutting the wire and adding a simple connector for easy connection in the future if need be but that's not my problem at the moment. LOL how the heck do you access the J29 area behind the dash? Am I going in from under down by the pedals or are people talking panel off for ease of access? There is a small panel down to the left of the parking brake where my stereo is plugged into but from what Ive read the grey wire I need to cut is up by the side mirror control and head adjustment dial. Can anyone explain how to access back there so I don't break the dash pulling on the wrong stuff

The purple and black wire are the wires that needed to be swapped

Its behind the mirror controls and headlight level adjustment. Just pry the dash parts apart as they only clip on.

    Thank you!

Currently doing the install but Ive got a question about my harness if anyone can let me know.

Also I'm not sure if my harness was missing some labels but I'm not sure which connector is what regarding the high beam, ballast, and the third?

Ok so my drl's flickered a week & a half ago & shut off but when i turn on my headlights it was fine again. Today they flickered & shut off again. What do u guys think? Loose connection? I'm the one that had 1 of the wires come loose from 1 of the fasteners when i installed the lights a couple months back

Must be a loose connection somewhere. Check connectors and secure pins in the connectors.

I'm so happy with these new headlamps. Not only does it make my truck look brand new but the head turning :thumbsup: The color is just like my 5000K HIDs and Opt7 Flux X LEDs. Id say these are not as bright as my 55W HIDs but just as bright as Flux beam bulbs. After about a week the slight difference in brightness is no longer noticeable but the immediate on and off without the warm up is amazing. Also there is a visible difference when hitting the high beam unlike the Flux beams. Thanks everyone for posting helpful tips and and to those who created the harness!
So far no problems only with people stopping me to ask about the lights

I forgot to add I decided not to cut the grey wire and leave the purple unplugged after the re-pin. The amber DRL ignite when the parking break is released which I didn't snap a picture of yet.
