Why is the **DRL DELETE MOD REQUIRED** in the sr5 with this plug and Okay? Thank you in advance for your answers.

The DRL delete isn’t required, it’s just recommend. We’ve seen already when you repin the bulb connector and the drl isn’t disabled the drl causes problems.

What type of problems does it cause if we don't cut the gray wire when in the repin we left the purple out and taped it. Would there still be any conflict?

Okay....if you leave the purple in the middle and don' cut the gray wire inside....your blinkers flash all crazy and the brake lights flash and the interior lights flash.

So you can leave the purple wire in slut #2 and cut the gray wire to have it work like factory.

Or....if you are like me and like the amber DRL ON BRIGHT with the LED DRL......unpin the purple wire, tape it, and don' cut the gray wire at all. Heres what the second option will look like. (Pic below).

If you do option one....your amber DRLS won' be on at all....only when you use the blinker.

I had already repinned it. But I didn' cut the gray wire. So all I did was take out the purple center wire....tape it....and leave the gray wire in tact. Now I have bright amber and bright leds on that the same time. Just my taste.

yup I did the same Im on the fence about cutting wires and I actually like the look it has with the one amber reminds me of my old Tacoma and I can always cut that grey wire later if I want to but once its been cut cant really go back

Agreed. Pictures don't do it justice, but the amber and led at the same time looks awesome. The amber is small....not huge like the old headlights. I already got stopped in the Target parking lot by a guy saying he wants a 2018 Tundra too....I had to fill him in. :)

Thanks man! Toyota went to a lighter blue in 2017, not sure why...but I feel like Toyota goes back and forth on colors.

Any ideas on what would look good with my truck? I was thinking about changing all the chrome to black....and black wheels...but not sure how that would look with blue. Kinda digging the Fuel ambush wheels.

@eledobleu Just looking for an update on orders? I placed an order for one 1794 harness on 24 Oct 17. I know you're making a ton of these harness's and the Tundra community is thankful.

Hey guys. New to the forum. About to pull the trigger on a 2018 SR5. What does it take to get the Full LED headlights working? The 2018 SR5 has halogen headlight lamps but does have the LED DRL's.

    Thanks in advance.

So you’re buying a 18 SR5 with the lower platinum drl and wanna put the TRD Sport Headlights?
If that’s so all you’ll need is a platinum harness and motocontrol.

    Sr5 per toyotas website:

Halogen headlights with LED accent lights, with black sport trim with manual level control and auto on/off feature

    Limited per toyotas website:

LED headlights with LED accent lights, with manual level control and auto on/off feature

All I want to do is get the limited headlights. It appears the level control is the same?

    Leo,

I finally got the harnesses replaced tonight. The passenger side again turned off but I noticed the low beam came out of its connector. Pushed it back in with a small screw driver. Than led came back on, so hopefully I won’t have to re cram them in again.

Pics attached. Thanks again for your help and patience with me.

    Chris

I found out you can replace the flasher module ($50 oem) if you dont want to cut the grey wire.

You could save the 50 bucks and just depin the wire and tape it up if you ever wanna put it back to use.

Hey guys...just realized this yesterday. The left LED light is much higher than the right. Not sure how to adjust either the right one up or the left one down. Cant figure out if the left is blinding people....or the right is too low. LOL
