2013 Sequoia Limited to TRD FAUX build now with BOOST!

Slowly disassembling the interior, all that remains are passenger under dash, dash & carpet.

Turned out the heater core needs to come out to "properly" r&r the rug. No.

Exhausted, need to figure out the best way to cut the "new" carpet to get it in.






Had to pull, push, pry & cut the rug out, these were the tools.

This literally kept me up last night worrying that I would not get it in/get the wires where they needed to be.

 

That's making me twitch a bit...are all those loose wires from mods?

 

I added 3 wires, a red for the remote sub amp, brown to get power to the mirror/radar detector & the purple RCA for audio to the amp.

That is all oem, I had to unwrap the tape to get the seat heaters from behind the seats (on the center console) so I can move them where they belong on the main center panel console under the HVAC.

 

Ahh, I figured if it was OEM it would be wrapped, but that explains it.

 

Now would be the time to add sound deadening material, even if only a little bit. Anything would be an improvement.

I thought about it but the car is not going to be voluntarily driven with the top up (only if I'm caught in the rain) It's noisy top down & lighter is better.

 

This was a hassle.

As I need to run the O2 wire from the motor to the gauge for my PSB-1 I looked for a passthrough, finding nothing, I searched for 20+ minutes, closest I came was a thread on Bimmerforums with derision over asking where the firewall was.

I am pretty sure had my interior not been gutted I would not have found this, passenger (right) side (US car) it exits behind the aux air pump.

I also need to run 2 wires to get the oil & water temp data to the gauges.

 

Dash is in, I was waiting for bulbs that the entire center console has to be disassembled to r&r that just came so progress will resume.

Nice! What is the typical or expected psi for that kit?

 

Spec page says 7 with the 100mm pulley, I have 85mm.

Thanks to finally having boost, my 27 year old dipstick tube O ring failed & blew oil onto the cat scaring the crap out of me with billowing blue smoke. I cleaned it up & replaced the O ring.

So far so good.

 

Looks like I blew a cylinder.

Did a compression test and am 10 to 15 lbs lower than before the SC ( was 188-195) on the still good cylinders (175-185) but have 125 on 3. Oil on top of most pistons 3 is the worst.
