What I have been reading is the 3 SWC wires come from this K3 connector. Pins 6,7,8. Should I try to hot wire from K3 pins to pins 8,13,15 here on aftermarket harness?

I can’t seem to find confirmation that those are the correct wires to try but I’m very tempted to give it a go.

    SUCCESS!
That was exactly it from post #31. However I can only program volume up/down & track +\-. The other buttons on the steering wheel will not link a function. I’m pretty happy with just the 4 and I can program any function to them.

I will add the correct harness links when I order.

    Thanks guys!

Here is what I ended up ordering to keep as much of the factory controls as I could going to an android auto head unit.

I messaged the seller, they said they will send out the correct harness... We shall see. If I have to settle, thats good enough for me too, but would really like everything to work as intended.

BTW, any ideas for a more secure fit? I dont feel like the lower part of the unit and the upper part of the HVAC panel are supported at all here.

So I got the new harness today and went right to work. All the harnesses connect, but I only have half the buttons on the wheel... I think i need the Non-JBL CanBus harness. Anyone know this part number? It may solve these issues.

Harness #3 attempt will be here in a day or 2... Still no luck. Shipping from China takes forever.

New harness arrived last night... I went right into it. Now I have Volume +/-, and I have the buttons << >> underneath. But now I lost the phone control, Mode button and voice activate. Not a big deal as I use CarPlay, but still... I have buttons that don't work.
I just received this from the seller. They are asking me to modify the harness like this,Wire HArness.jpg in one last ditch effort.

The wire in your harness that plugs into this clip, and this terminal. In the aftermarket harness, there are 2 browns going into this port. cut them from the white plug, but keep them together. They are getting feedback from this wire in the stock harness. Trust me. It was that damn simple!! Hopefully you have this harness. IMG_2395.jpg IMG_2394.jpg

So light brown from the truck - dark brown on the aftermarket harness?

Just the dark brown from the aftermarket harness... You can leave the light brown alone from the truck. I was just showing what it was connected to. But yes, disconnect the dark brown from the aftermarket harness. There should be 2 browns in this one pin. Make sure to connect them together, just get them out of the connector.
