Sooner or later you need to ask yourself; "Is this really worth it?" Is the frame even straight? How long has it been sitting? What other unseen problems are you going to run into? Let's see a picture of this thing. You're obviously here for advice. If you want mine, I would walk away from it. That's from just the little bit that I know about it. Sounds like it could be a huge money pit.

Maybe cheaper to find the front half a frame and weld that on

Do you mean take the mount off or put the whole frame on it?

Whole frame lol if you created enough of an impact to BREAK the shock tower. I doubt your frame is even in good shape. Do some more digging into the truck. Truthfully, from the info you've provided, this truck may not be worth the time.

I haven’t really been able to get a good look at it as my driveway is super muddy so I can’t jack the truck up to get the tire off to even look at just going with what my step dad told me

Maybe you should have a serious conversation with your step dad, and ask him why he isn't fixing the truck. I've got two guesses. 1) Time. 2) Money.
Sounds like you might have the former but not the latter. Again, this thing is sounding like a money pit.

Well the reason he isn’t fixing it is cause he doesn’t have money but that’s also cause he has to pay bills and things like that if all I have to do is put 700 into it I would gladly do that cause it’s cheaper than buying a new car

Well I would get muddy but I physically can’t see anything till I get the truck jacked up and to do that I’ll need solid ground

Where did you get this number? Just to give you an idea of true numbers, I bought my FGT with 87,000 miles on it, and immediately put $850 into it to get it to where I was confident in it. And that was doing the work myself. That was timing belt, tensioner, idler pulleys, water pump, serpentine belt, tensioner, idler pulley, and shocks. And this truck drove, but was old. To think you're going to put $700 into this is a pipe dream. With what you've already told us, just by quick math, you've easily already blown your budget. Sorry to rain on your parade here bud, but you might have to let this one go. Be honest with yourself now, save yourself a whole lot of pain later.

Well the parts I need are 237 and if I was to buy that mount from the same website it would be around 700 the truck didn’t have anything wrong with it and the only thing that was affected in the crash was the front left tire it was the only thing that hit the bull bar saved the front so I think it’s in the budget bud
