2/25 Day Trip - Bee Canyon to Pine Cove Road (Hemet to Idyllwild)

Hey, Marty! Yeah, I've got a buddy with a GIGANTIC '80 Dodge 4x4 who wants to bring his 15 y.o. son out. Promised he'll pull us (anything) out, if we can get stuck.

I'll be watching from a distance through this post. Living through you guys. I want to do bee canyon, but can't that weekend. So, I'll try it out when I can. Ive never been offroading with a 4x4, just skinny pedal power with my old 4 banger ranger.

 

Probably all you'll need for Bee Canyon; we'll keep you posted-- and hope to see you next time.

 

I couldn't make this one and it is going to be a fun trip, look forward for the pictures.

I don't know about y'all but this is a public route, so I figure everyone that wants to join this run can. Plus we're posting to a public forum; anyone could and know where and when to find us. Great party to crash. So if they're coming because they know and like one of us , might as well feel welcome to join the official SoCal Tundras Conga line!!

If we wind up with a million trucks , we can always break into smaller groups between social stops if easier.

Last time --remember?!!-- none of us knew each other outside the forum, and it was really fun!! Plus I met some very knowledgeable, friendly other-vehicle people that know a lot of what I'd like to learn.

 

Is there a meeting spot everyone is meeting up at before heading out?

@Sunnier If you need a meet location I've always met up with Tacoma people here -



We park at the back of the parking lot to the CVS/Stater Bros, big parking lot, gas station is right there to fill up before the trail, and anyone who forgot something can run in and grab it.

Nice and close to the trail head as well -

 

@Sunnier small edit: I said "back of the parking lot" what I really meant was closer to the street, away from the store. "front" would be closest to the entry of cvs/stater bros.

 

See why I don't rush things, y'all? I have "people". This ^^^ looks like a great meeting place, for all the reasons listed.

As @Marty McFly said, I'll update the 1st post.

 

I think I'm in for this. Just installed some Kings today so it would give me a great reason to test them out. Also maybe have 1-3 additional rigs that would come out of that's okay with you all. I think it would be a Taco and two 4runners.
