    I'll go over the thread tomorrow and start counting. I'll also go by Big 5 to grab a pair of "adventure passes" and verify the current info on that.
    @Gibzki are you coming?

    Online research revealed we need an "adventure pass" for this route. @eccracer104 confirmed that anyone who wants to "stop" needs a pass. I'm fairly certain that means someone could drive through without a pass-- but not picnic or camp. Hmmn... but what about quick relief breaks? (I decided I'd better buy a pass.)

    Mike said the money goes to forestry, and the pass is good for one year. His experience was that they are available at a reduced rate if purchased in pairs (i.e. 1st one is $35, 2nd is $5, so $40 / 2 = $20 each). I plan to go to Big 5 today and get the scoop, and post it here. Then we can "pair up" and one in each pair buy 2 passes, then settle up when we meet. They're available at places other than Big 5, so y'all should be able to find 'em near you. I'll post up later.

    That'll be great!

    Smart move on getting the CM. Fits both the squirts and the Mrs. loves the space in the back when having to handle their tantrums. She is also 5'2" so a Taco would have worked for her but the CM is great.

    Side note, I am purchasing some wheels from a Facebook member. They are a set of the off road version. Is there anything I should look for specifically? The sale is happening tonight. I already saw some pictures but should I look for defects, bent rim, cracks, the obvious? But am I missing something?

    ^ This can help find a local store to purchase.

    Oh yeah! My friends parents have a 2007 CM and the back seat feels like you're in a damn limo! Most comfortable back seat I've been in.

    The obvious, bent, cracked, damaged in any way. Also check the lug nut seats to make sure they're not damaged from someone using the incorrect lug nuts.

    That looks like everything I'd check for. I'd feel best if I could see the tires that were on them (even though you're not buying the tires), so I could see there wasn't weird wear on one/ any. And, after you swap over, probably need to do an alignment.

    I have an appointment on Friday to have them put on and they said they would align them.

    I figured as much. The lug nuts is a good idea.

    A word of advice regarding the adventure pass. Spend $80 and buy the National Parks yearly pass. In the long run it is way more cost effective as long as you use it. The pass covers national parks as well as national forests.
    For info on ordering and a list of covered areas visit the following link.

    Great! We're planning to head to AZ this year: Grand Canyon and native reservations. Maybe this'll help me with some of our destinations.

    (@Marty McFly, I'll let you know before making any changes on our shared purchase plan.)

    The second gens are the best with the reclining back seat. I was pissed when I found out they discontinued with the 3rd gens :annoyed:

    YES they reclined and slide forward just like the front seats. Now the seat only folds up so no storage room

    I have no idea. I love Toyota but that had to be one of the stupidest moves. Part of the reason I wanted a tundra was for the reclining back seats. It was basically a bed back there :(
