I call that person free to think however he/she wants. I don’t give two shits. You take it as a personal attack if someone decides to waver from what you believe the absolute correct way to do something. Give your opinion and let it TF go if someone else see it’s another way.

According to you, your buddy “has no clue what he talking about” and must be a “weekend warrior with a roll of electrical tape and a six pack” for not following Honda’s maintenance schedule.
Perhaps he should have become an engineer?

That’s running E85 and anyone with half a brain doesn’t run that crap. Let’s go to the extreme. Change your oil every weekend and it offers no benefit.

I totally agree man. Totally agree. I absolutely do not think of it as a personal attack but some things are just wrong yet are posted as fact. I do need to let it go. You are correct. I should somehow be able to read shit, chuckle and let it go.

Not rogue. He bought the Honda.
You would probably be surprised how far machines are pushed during prototype development and I am fairly certain Honda and others push it much further than my friend.

Great! Let’s let our disagreement go. For the record, I agree with you and I adhere for the most part to the manufacturer and I have zero doubt full syn can do 10 easy. But, I respect a guy for wanting to do what he feels is best.
    Truce.

This oil thread is just like one on T4R.Org. Different vehicle, different players, same result. No one can ever agree on an interval for changing it. I will say this, in both the 4Runner, and the Tundra, the Blackstone Labs results were the same. You could push on past 10k up to around 13k. Interesting stuff.

NO LONGER HAVE A TUNDRA... Waiting
That's sucks. Both dealerships around me had no issues. I scheduled to go back to the purchasing dealership to do my 5000 miles maintenance but it was too far so I called up the local , 4 miles from my house. No problems there even at 4995 miles they said take it in. Got it done in 1hr. Scheduled me for the next time around 9995 miles.

I will definitely stick with your local dealership even for future purchases. The purchasing one really didn't value your business and I would exposed them on social media and online reviews sites. They should recognize the mistake they made and do the oil change as per manufacturer recommendation. I'm curious to see what are they going to say about what I've sent you.
