Thanks haha. I never got sick per se, I was just drained, having some back pains, and not getting decent sleep.

Reminds me, I still need to finish Letterkenny.

I thought it was if you went higher. But, yeah, that explains why just getting dressed wore me the fuck out. I couldn't seem to rehydrate either. I drank something like 8 bottles of water a day and was still thirsty.

I never got 'sick' either. Like, I never blew chunks. It's just shitty feels.
Well it would be worse at higher altitude. It's not entirely the elevation that gets ya, it's the rate that you go up at. If you were to go up to 12k, you'd have to stop at 8k for several days to acclimate, then continue.

Grew up in the mountains myself - had never really experienced it but had heard about it. Then spent several years living near sea level and went up hiking and had my ass handed to me. Definitely aware of the acclimation process now. 7k at “base camp” is no joke for a guy whose house is at 900ft and spends most of his days at ~200ft

I felt sick after drinking a bunch of tequila and whiskey. Must have been the altitude.

For scouts if we were going up in elevation for camp, we would try to arrive in the afternoon/evening, and then acclimate overnight while we’re sleeping

Come on, guys. We can't just post b.s. posts with no value just to make 100 pages. I would never do that.

So, this is funny to me....

The non-1st Gen'r is telling the 1st Gen'rs how to post in their thread. I do, however, agree w/what he's saying...

and as a TurdGener (did I do that right??) myself, I'd hope that my opinion carries some weight :muscleflexing:
