That's how we did a circle around the US in 8 texhnical days. Left west ky around 9:00 pm July 3rd Saw mount Rushmore, saw the bad lands, saw Washington state, water falls in oregon, the red woods, the grand canyon Cadillac Ranch, okla-fuckin-homa, reno, the desert and a whole bunch of other shit. Got home July 11th at 2:30 am. Got up, and went to work at my new job for my first day at 6 am.

Crazy fucking week. Wished we didn't go so fucking fast or I wasn't so stressed out so I could remember more of it.

This is one of TWO pictures that I still have since the voluntary separation.
    received_767733050948289.jpg

That first leg of the road, that little corolla was not turned off for anything for 28 hours straight. I left it running while getting gas so the dog would stay cool. 28 hours. 1,600 or 1,700 miles... Crazy...

In case you wanna know which Love’s to hit based on a 220 mile range along I70 44 and 40 (we get about 9.5 mpg when we’re bombin). :anonymous:

That’s bad ass! I love trips like that. But yeah it can be an insane pace. I have a trip mapped out to hit 15 of the National parks west of the Rockies in 17 days.
I question our sanity. maybe we’ll just go sit in one National park for three weeks. Haha!

Did you guys not even stop to sleep? I'm trying to map it out now. Knoxville to Oklahoma City would be 13 hours. Doable. Another 13 would put us in Sedona. I can't imagine not sleeping though. I would need a lead on a cocaine supplier.

I just realized that the route from my house to Sedona is basically get on I-40 and stay on it for 1,700 miles. I mentioned it to my wife last night and she immediately said "let's go".

Well compared to 8hours it basically is right there. And that’s 4hours just at my leisure with two kids and a dog, and a kid wrangler.
