I hated all slider options because they were so obnoxious and bulky. I complained to my husband enough to design me some sleek ones haha

Did you ever get these installed? Can you post some pictures of both?

Did you reach out to WK before purchasing? I emailed last week but haven't heard back. Just curious how difficult they were to reach.

I heard back from White Knuckle on Tuesday. After shipping, their sliders will cost around $900. They look great, but I just can't justify that much.

I think the best option right now is Brute Force Fab but because they ship with the legs off, this is going to increase the installation cost from a shop. Amazing how few options we have for these trucks.

I looked at that, but didn't realize you were including 1st gens. I should have asked but 99% of the time we're excluded from any offerings like this.

On a different note if anyone hasn't seen the GB page. Everything is currently 10% off! Not just sliders. All my Fab work, I'm doing some skids and bumpers at the moment as well. However once the slider GB reaches 10 they will be 15% off and if we get to 15 I'll give someone their set

Here's a rear bumper I'm doing. This one will have HC wrap arounds but this could be a basic rear as well. This truck also has a 3" BL so keep that in mind. It would be much slimmer otherwise.

@BashFab Do you have a website for your products or a way for us to see what you offer the 1st gen's? Curious to look at your stuff before this sale ends.

I don't have a site but it's something I'm looking into soon as I'm also looking into a semi permanent building to expand my tool offerings and services with more space. That being said everything I build is typically a one off custom piece from furniture to custom signs, handrails or whatever it may be. I don't do just off-road, I've built bridges for the cisty of Columbia so I'm pretty broad and don't really offer a product line per se. I jus got started in the off-road work 8 ish years ago when I got my Tacoma and I've always loved building stuff and being creative but not necessarily repetitive task.. with all that I oretty much use social media for now to share my work. Instagram is same as my user name here and Facebook is Bash Fabrication

I also have an Etsy store but it's mostly stained glass work and some custom furniture.

Here's a dining room table set I made.

Has anyone tried making these work for the 1st gen Access cabs?

I know it's been discussed but I haven't seen anyone actually do it. It looks like their longest option is 78" so you'd be 6" shy(that's what she said). It might look a bit goofy? Then again, if you positioned them where you were 3" short on each side it might be ok. It doesn't sound like you really intend to use them as sliders right? Not much rock crawling in MN is there?

Nope, I just hate the look of wimpy nerf bars, and want something functional and aggressive so the wife can get into the truck easier. I also don't want to slap down a G on sliders. Tough spot to be.

I feel ya. I was in the same boat. If you or someone you know can weld, I would consider the Brute Force Fab option. They are only $65 more than the set you asked about and you know they will fit correctly. I didn't get them because I couldn't find anyone that wanted to to weld them up for a reasonable amount. BFF ships them with the legs off which really adds to the cost of having someone weld them. By the time I went that route it was probably going to cost me more than just going with the White Knuckle sliders I installed myself. It just sucks we have such few options.

Also, did you click the link in the OP for Hot Metal fab? Their weld together kit is only $319...

I saw the hot metal fab ones. The look nice. I think I could handle welding the legs on, but I don't want to weld the whole thing together. my welding abilities are limited to making two pieces of metal stick together, I don't go beyond that.

All feet type? Hell, I trip over air..

Figured I’d need some tread plates on a set at a minimum.

In the other pictures you posted it looked like your welds were cleaner than the ones on my White Knuckle sliders. So BFF might actually be the gold standard. I know the welding they did on my bumper was exceptional so I can only assume the sliders are too.

The welds are exceptional, I can't see them being any better, other than if some phenom out there did them. I know one but I can't afford him.

The only thing I like a bit more about mine is that the kick out is smooth vs a joint. But I do like weld + bolt as mine can’t be removed.

Yeah, subtle things. I could see myself shortening the arms by an inch plus to pull them in a touch. I like the 2 piece kick out, but I would tame it a tad as well. But functionally, really nice.

Yeah, you mean, because you’ll not need real kick-outs on a 2WD. :boink:

Half of the slider offerings listed in this thread are already either NLA or the folks are MIA. Lame.

Really looks like the only actual, real, available ones are the Hot Metal Fab, Brute Force Fab, or White Knuckle.

And all of those are gigantic plane wings with gargantuan kickouts.

    Anybody making some high-and-tight style?

Anybody newish on the scene for rock sliders for these trucks (specifically a DC)?

I've come to find the BFF and White knuckle probably know what they are doing with those kick outs and the sizing. It's doesn't hurt to have a touch of wheel poke for overall looks with those brands, but I'm a fan of the sizing although I felt like you initially.
