I'm in the early stages of shopping for sliders. I thought it would be a good idea to compile the list of options in one thread to help people in the future. I'm going to link the options I'm aware of and ask others to chime in with options I miss.

One of the members here had a husband who was building some for her truck and was kicking around the idea of producing them if I remember right. I think it was @Swalters?

Would your truck require a custom length? I wonder if AC option would fit your RC?

Yes, it looks like you can either weld the slider directly to the frame, or buy a kit that will allow you to weld attachment points to the frame that the sliders will then bolt to.

I think you pay extra for bolt ons.
    Regular is weld on.

Possible SDHQ 1st gen weld on sliders. Mine are technically custom, so it's their custom pricing. Although if enough people are interested, they'll produce them.

I ordered from Stubbs and got 'em back in April. Richard told me he'd cut back to offering only the HD-SKO option-- no more "Deluxe" or others for the time being, citing the steel tariffs. I promised @BestGen I'd find the price but I need to look through some stuff; I think it was about $430 including shipping. They're beefy!

I could settle for the HD-SKO. Just preferred the square tubing on the Deluxe.
I've got AllPro on my 4Runner. The og ones from their original shop in Hemet. Got em from Eric at Yotamasters, who personally welded them on for me. That was back at the old shop(garage really)when you could just show up and they'd take care of you. Now it's a month+ waiting list. IMG_0270.jpgIMG_2310.jpg IMG_2309.jpg

How do you order from Brute Force Fab? Call only? I reached out through the Contact Us page twice now for a bumper and never heard back.

You can expect the same with Stubbs. Basically 2 person shops, fabricator + minimal office/ billing/ shipping support.

I've been trying to order my bumper and sliders from Brute Force Fab and no luck, so I decided to order Addicted offroad hybrid bumper and Hot metal fab sliders.

Two different people trying to order from Brute Force Fab and didn't have luck. This seems to be a theme with these types of businesses. How exactly can you stay in business when you don't return calls?

Edit-you guys appear to be right. Just completely covered up with work.

Pretty normal when a shop is just big enough to make money but not big enough to pay off all the equipment and hire more people/buy more equipment to pay off. Even larger shops go through this stuff. Sometimes that $750k laser or $200k brake press and their accompanying payments make more sense than someone to answer calls. It also seems to piss off hard charging go getters to pay someone to sit at a desk. This can also explain some of the lack of engineering support in smaller shops I think.

I often dream of a job working for a small/medium sized off road shop that wants someone to create and design their parts in solidworks and create solid material lists and such, but it's hard to find shops small enough to offer freedom and big enough to pay someone to design mostly at a desk.

They can't answer the phone? If business is that good, put someone at a desk for $12/hour for a few hours a day to return calls and answer questions. I had the same problem when I tried getting in touch with 1st Gen Offroad. Dude would post on Instagram left and right but won't return phone calls. He lost out on $1600.

I'm about to pull the trigger on victory rock sliders for my 06 DC tundra. I was debating brute force vs. Victory but I can't get ahold of brute force and I like the style of victory better. I am a bit nervous that they are bolt on though... They look like they will do the job (basically handle the 99% of offroad duty)... I get they are not welded on but from what I have read they seem pretty damn strong... Anybody have any further opinion on these? I will not be doing insane wheelin'

The SDHQ sliders on my third GEN are bolt on and I cannot see how they are any weaker than if they were weld-on. The only problem I could see with bolt on would be if the bolts extended down from the frame; the bolts for the SDHQ go into the side of the frame, so they won't get sheared off sliding over rocks.

One of our members @Casper421 has the bolt on sliders from Victory. I don't think he's really beat them up yet but I doubt you would have any issues. I would honestly prefer bolt on so you can remove and repaint periodically.
