This is great point. I was planning to get them bare metal so I can paint. I don't think there is any point in getting the victorys powder coated if you plan to use them for what they are built for. Also with the lift at 2" my wife needs a step, Victory looks like it could be used very well as a step.

I would be really curious to hear from @Casper421 ; would you recommend victory bolt on? Did you end up drilling at all -- website states that you would need to drill twice if used extensively for offroad use. These are not cheap that's for sure but I'd like to buy once / cry once.

Let me know if you want different than this:IMG_7680.jpg
I don't use them as steps, but I'm ridiculously tall. Bruce laughed at me that I have this whole get in and out routine that involves ignoring the steps. But they are handy for reaching to the roof, cleaning the windshield. I don't "need" sliders as much on this first gen as I do the 3rd gen, where they make everything easier (I don't use those to get in and out either, but my son does).

Edit: I prefer the sliders be really close to the truck for increases clearance/ protection, but that equates to less use as a step.

I'll add, we're super impressed with these Stubbs and they are 1/2 the cost of others. Unless he's closed down shop since I bought these in April, I absolutely recommend Richard Stubbs and his work!

Perfect, thanks! I agree with preferring them close to the body. My wife is barely 5' tall and keeps complaining about getting in and out. I damn sure don't want steps but I wouldn't mind sliders that can act as steps.

    Thanks!

Those look perfect for my needs.

What do you guys think a shop would charge to weld them on. $200?

I used to just tease her about it but since she hurt her ACL a few months ago its becoming something I want to help her with. Until then it's an excuse to drive my lowered GTI that she hates. :D

If anyone wants Brute Force Fab sliders and or armor. I can get your orders in. Billy at BFF has been busy getting orders built and sent so his response can be alittle slow. I can speed up the response and orders via Pm. Thanks.

Right?! I'm loving these. Fully tig welded and it'll be mig welded to the frame. But if SDHQ produces these it'll be half and half to save some time. But with the gussets and design, these are fricken strong.

I enjoy a lot of custom one off work. This was his front bumper made to spec! Also keep in mind this truck has a 3"body lift so this bumper would look even sleeker like my taco if you had no body lift! I plan to base my 2nd gen tundy bumper off this guys minus the headlight hoops. Not a huge fan of them but they are barely seen from the cab.

Guys I just heard back from Richard Stubbs. They did in fact close the business as of May 22nd. It appears @Sunnier was one of their last customers.

I have updated the first post.

Well, Chad... now we have some questions.

Where are you located and, would you invite interested forum members near you to come meet you in person, see your shop? I'm getting PM's from guys asking if I know you based on my friendly welcome..., so it'd be great if you can step in and make your own reputation. :smokertransformer:

Can't find a webpage for Bashfab. Always helps to validate the company and to order. I see other social media links, so they must be web-savvy.
