I think it might be true. That article someone linked last week said the same thing. "When the plant opened in 2003, it only built the 4.7-liter 2UZ-FE engine and was the only facility outside of Japan to build a V-8."

Hey Erik does the R85 sticker on your add tube have what appears to be a date on it? When I was under the truck the other day I noticed a date (04/04/07) on said sticker, as well as the same numbers stamped into the driver side diff mount on my truck. Reason I ask, if this is a manufacture date then I have a diff (or at least add tube) 3 years newer than my truck.

Sorry for my lack of good pics. I waited in the parking lot for him for about 10 mins. Anyways, I could tell its supercharged because it had the Toyota/lexus supercharged badge on the front grill. The truck is a northern truck and the guy says he mainly drives it in the winter so he doesn't get his new GMC 2500 rusty haha. The frame was replaced in 2012 just like mine. It has a sick ass TRD dual exhaust straight out the rear and it is so sexy, the trd badging was done excellently on this truck but my lack of pics makes that hard to imagine. The guy Is gonna sell me some new rims ,100 bucks for all four of them. So pretty hyped about that. Also his transmission was replaced at 100k miles, he said they towed a lot with it and he wasn't aware about the towing with o/d issue .anyways.. Solid truck that made my truck look like a ugly pos! Haha

The date is backwards. Mine read 99/03/21 or some such.

This all adds to my curiosity of where my motor was built. My truck is an early 03, original sale date was before April. I read long ago that the motor production here started in 03 but back then it wasn't clear if they meant motor production or model production.

I've read in two different places now that it started in 03, not sure exactly when

This guy wants to sell me his oem rim set all four for 100 bucks. Not sure if its worth it as.i already have the same rims but they are just in worse shape compared to these. These look great compared to the ones I have now despite being the same rims. Still not worth it I dont think, I'm broke as hell at the moment

I wouldn't pay any amount for those wheels. Just save your money until you can get something better.

Brake pedal still has a long travel. Still trying to get this ATF to temp. Going for longer more aggressive (slightly) drive but I think I need to play with some nuts on the proportioning valve.

Edit: Got the dumb thing to 98 before I had to pull the ripcord for work. Efffffffff

Best way is to just keep accelerating to 45 mph to get your tq lockout then let go of the throttle and coast down to 0mph. That is the quickest way I've seen my atf go up 30-40 degrees

You sure you got all the air out of the system? Did you install new calipers? I can't recall what all work you did.
