Yeah I know I'd prefer the whine though...plus the instant torque

Here’s picture of my suspension. The front to rear, and although backed up to a 4x4 GMC same height difference over Friends 2wd double cab sr5.
Is it because it’s limited edition?
Or has someone added something after market?
My tires are 1” taller than OE, but that doesn’t explain that much height difference, or the greater rake.

Is that a right-hand (passenger) shackle on the left-hand (driver) side of your truck?

Maybe your buddy's truck is higher mileage and the suspension is just worn out?

Yep, pops traded in the Rubicon for it. I agree it looks super sleek, I'm not the biggest fan of the wheels but at least they aren't chrome.

15.12 mpg with a/c running and crappy tires.
    New Michelin shoes today.
    about same mileage I think.
Mine is taller than most I run across and is what got me asking questions.

I’ll try to take look at buddy’s tomorrow and see if looks different.
I’m not familiar with Toyota rear hangers, but compared to others looks right to me.
    I haven’t had a comparison so don’t know.

    How many miles we talking?
Yours might've just been pampered more :)
Some first gens live rough lives. My 03 had a rough life before I came along. Conversely, my 06 was pampered til I came along.

Finally got the right search words and found why mine is taller.
The limited is the tallest of all I found listed.
    • 2006 Tundra SR5 (Double Cab, 2WD): Has a ground clearance of 10.9 inches.
    • 2006 Tundra Limited (Double Cab, 4WD): Has a ground clearance of 12.3 inches.

One is stamped with an "R" and one with an "L", I'm pretty sure.

Pretty sure me and Casey swapped mine when we did the AALs on Penelope a few months ago ago.
We wanted to swap the leaf springs from left to right in an effort to even put lean. I just recall swapping the shackles then possibly swapping em back once we swapped the leaves... It got confusing... Beer might've been flowing on that hot day. :anonymous:

I cleaned my glasses now I know what you're referring to.
Both of mine have an R on them.
    This is passenger side.

Passenger side should be R. It's possible both have the R stamped in them. Maybe the "R" is for REAR, as in, that's the side that should face the REAR of the truck, so it's correct?

Ourisman, and Serra shows the mount bracket to be different, but the shackle to be the same.
If I can remember in the morning I’ll see if buddy has same markings on his.
