My newly fabbed grounds have extended the length (she said). The one that really added distance was the Negative Post to Top of Manifold.

I called CVT before buying this awning and asked if I could mount it directly to my shell. I noticed everyone mounts them to a roof rack or basket. I'm not seeing how it's going to work. My shell isn't perfect flat so this mounting surface only touches in the middle.

Also, if I mount it this way I don't how I can use the side support bars. I'm thinking I need a roof basket.

Yup. Miss Stacey. Was just finishing up the LS1 swap into my C10 as he was finishing the quite similar Copperhead.

Yup, there was a thread about this 3-5 pages back in the list. Good conversation came out of it. IIRC, it was exhaust drone.

My local shop charged $350 parts and labor using Denso reman alt.

Omg yes. That copperhead build was amazing. I don't remember if he ever finished sgt rock or not. I watched all of his shit on Gearz too. I really wish motor trend tv would bring him on.

Nah. Oh wait, was that for *all* labor? I read that as they wanted to charge you $450 extra in labor just to tack on an alternator install which is f'ing nuts, it's a 1hr job.

I've noticed that the state of KY has changed all of the "Canal overlook" signs to "Scenic overlook"

I wonder if it has anything to do with a certain "vandal" spray painting over the "C" on canal

Stopped at my secret project car storage facility (mom's house) for 2 hours. Put the bug on jack stands, pulled the wheels and tires, took a look at the suspension and made note of the oil filter model number and fuel filter. Measured the front beam so i can buy the right tow bar. Brought the wheels and tires home with me, I'll clean the wheels up and get new tires on them before I go back.

165s on 15x4.5" wheels, pretty cute huh? These are a cool Brazilian wheel, I've never seen another set of them in person.

    Whoa!

I was always taught where there is one there are 2 or 5 more.

Had a similar (almost) accident happen around early dawn time. Caught a dark movement out of the left corner of my eye about 200 yards out in a post harvested field. Made a mental note to slow down a hair as the ‘movement’ became more noticeable, but still unrecognizable. The ‘movement’ then jumped a 15’ wide ditch and then was in direct collision course with my trajectory as, at that point, I was slowing to a stop.

Didn’t know what the movement was until the first 2 deer past a foot in front of the headlights/bumper. The next 4 jumped over my hood. The last one (Big Buck) jumped completely over the car top with ease. Total of 7 deer. They were running across the field to get into the tree line.

After the video ended I slowed down to a brisk 25 mph from the 40-ish I was doing. Ended up seeing another 17 in my travels after the slow-down.

My grandfather, and I were in a similar situation when I was real young. That was a fun time. Big deer jumped a fence on a blind corner right in front of us. Hit the first big buck, got out investigated damage, put carcass in the bed of his White square body Chevy (RCSB) heard some noises behind us, and the road was FULL of deer. A few of the bucks were watching us, while holding a defensive posture with them being between us, and the rest of the deer behind them. I was like "Cool!" My papaw having been a hunter his whole life knew what deer could do to a man. Dangerous!

He picked me up, carried me with one arm to the drivers side, literally threw me into the cab, and I hit the pass door panel with my shoulder. He got in, and shut the door. Just as he shut it one of the bucks charged his door, gouged it up pretty bad, and busted his main window, and the little tilt triangle window. I kid you not, this man literally stopped, grabbed my hands, said a quick prayer, and put the truck in drive.

All I remember next was the ROAR of that sweet carbureted big block chevy V8, the smell of burning rubber, tires squealing, and several "thump, thump, thump, thump, thump" in quick succession. We had to have hit, and ran over at least half of what was in the two lane road.

I talked about that for a week. I didn't even care that my shoulder was sore.

Starting to regret my aftermarket magnaflow cat back. The thing sounded cool at first but now my main complaint is all the extra vibrations and occasional droning. It always makes me think something is wrong with my truck when accelerating but really, its just the vibration from the loud exhaust
