Hello all. I have this noise that I'm pretty sure wasnt here before. It happens around 45-50 mph and under throttle. My mechanic says its a normal "harmonic pulley front end noise" and to not worry about it. Could someone maybe the next time they are driving tell me if they hear it? Hit 45 mph and thats about when the torque converter locks up, or overdrive i cant tell. And then once it locks up press down on the throttle but not enough to downshift obviously. Please listen to this video with headphones on or else u wont hear it. I'm a very overthinking person who hyper focuses on shit so i just wanna know what yall think. Thanks. The reason i think it might be normal too is it happens right after the rpms shoot down and high torque low revs along with a lot of throttle. https://youtu.be/_YY4Qb75oNI

Which sound is it, the one that sounds like the wub-wub-wub-wub someone might hear after huffing a balloon full of NO², or the sound of a military-grade chopper hovering overhead, or the sound of someone hyperventilating on a digeridoo?

I don't doubt you may be hearing something troublesome, i have OCD about my truck as well. :) In your vid its almost impossible to hear anything that may be a problem that could be diagnosed here in my opinion. Good luck with it though.

Good on ya. It was raining last night here on the Island. Didn’t want to get wet going to the truck for the headphones. I’ll listen later today.

Headphones are a must if you want to hear. It's mostly low frequencies. There's another IDM joke in there somewhere, I know. The wub-wub (wait for the drop!) sounds a lot like the exhaust drone of the '68 pickup I had, I swapped an LS1 into it with a 6spd MT.

Also sounds like the exhaust drone I've heard from a number of vehicles using aftermarket exhaust. So I guess my next question is about your exhaust. It your setup from headers to tail pipe all stock?

sounds kinda like and exhaust leak to me. Check your exhaust for leaks.

Just listened with headphones. The sound has that exhaust type reverberation. You have new exhaust. One plus one equals maybe its exhaust Resonance related.
