well… looks like i gotta put in a new connector. Any information on that will help. The little connector looks fine though.

Looking at this a bit closer. It seems there might be enough wire left off on connector side that I could strip that wire and splice it back to the other cut end. I might had to add .5 inch or so of wire. But it might be possible.

That bigger black conductor is shielded for a reason. If after splicing a piece in and if you have interference in your radio, you’ll know why. Chances that might be fine but time will tell.

In my opinion, splicing that back together is going to be tough. I also had my factory harness cut by PO(S). I had a lot more wire left on the connector going to my Amp and I couldn't splice directly. You might be better off depinning and cutting off all of the wires to the same length and then repinning. Just my 0.02

Dropped the PowerBass OE700-TY woofers in today. First impressions were good, and I mean good for the OEM JBL soundstage, which I like. They're comparable to the OEM woofers in my opinion.
If you're looking for hard hitting bass, get different speakers or a sub.

For what I wanted, a nice classic sound for my CDs and Tapes (I know, outdated but I enjoy the less compression and I have a large collection) in the stock HU, I'm satisfied.

Also, these were 100% drop-in no hassle. You don't need a wire harness adapter and you don't need to drill new holes in the bracket. Easiest speaker install I've ever done, took me 30 mins and most of that was removing the door panels.

Anyone got a stock radio that will work with JBL amp that I can buy? I want to test everything works in my system before I drop $500 at crutchfield.

Got it. I knew there was a policy restriction, I swore I'd seen other cases where folks had posted stuff as WTB. My mistake!

Let me make sure I got the info on the first page right before I commit to getting the XAV-AX7000: Since I have a 2002 RC without the JBL system, and since there is no amp located beneath the HVAC controls, I don’t have an amp, correct?

    That should be correct.
