I'd just like it to sound a little meaner without being overly loud and without causing a highway drone.

Here's the Spintech 3000XL (SS) with Doug Thorley headers, glass pack type resonator, stock Y pipe and cats, and dual tail pipes exiting behind rear wheels (stock location). Some drone compared to stock muffler but not too bad.
I need to get a better recording.

Heres my jeep with a header, and glasspack. Cat was in for the vid, but has fallen off lately, so i replaced it with mandrel bent 2.5” also has a bell in the intake, and a poor mans tune, where you isolate the iat sensor to cool air.

    yea. Yeti cup. Ftw.

im thinking long and hard about a toyota inline 6 or maybe even a mechanical kz with a turbo for the tundra, but the 2uz/4speed auto has been amazing in the sequoia. Did a trailer load of clay (2yds) and no worries, but grandpas has high gears, and 70-75 is 2400ish+ rpm. So, ebay turbos are looking better everyday, running a couple psi, but mostly whistling.

No way my 4.7 xj sounds as good as my 4.7 tundra. My tundra is still faster too, which is sad. There is a soft spot for an i6 amc/jeep engine, but I should have just done an ls swap rather than a super duper jeep stroker.

I think your Jeep sounds better than mine though.

Thanks. Gotta admit im a little jealous of those stroker jeeps. A little extra bottom end would go a long way. Hopefully the tundra takes over as my 4x4, and can do so while running a little cooler.
