I've looked at my '18 in the garage / driveway about 14 times today contemplating your response lol. Plus it has a real key with a cooler.

Was in a similar spot earlier this year in deciding if I should upgrade my ‘17 to something brand new…had low/mid 30k miles on it and really liked the truck overall. Decided just to finish it the way I wanted versus starting over. Good luck on your decision

Update for everyone. Made the right choice with the trade, 18 to 21.

Took delivery last Friday, Nov. 5, once I got there I fell in love with the 20" rims, plus I didn't want to hassle with the swap and potential issues with the TPMS sensors, thanks @thomasbus337 . I plan on upgrading the rubber very soon and selling the stock tires, going to 275/65/R20.

2021 magnetic gray CrewMax, TRD Sport.

I think the sport is a sexy truck with the 20s. I also thought about switching to 18s, but will be going with a 276/65r20 when the front bilsteins show up

Agreed. I thought that too until the wife told me she even liked the larger rims when looking at both during trade in. I am reading a lot of good feedback on 275/65/R20's having no issues on stock suspension with the TRD package. Are you going to 5100 or something else?

Edit: Tire Discounters around the corner from my house said they will do a fitment test with 1 tire to see how it does

I’m waiting on 6112s, but the delivery date is unknown. Putting on some 275/60r20 duratracs next week until Im able to get the front levelled out. I plan on going with the 1.9” setting.

Would you mind sharing a photo of the wheels on your truck?

A former member here did run them stock. They are very tall, however stock width is what helps tires clear. 275/65/20 is a killer tire size

Now ditch those side steps and it will really look sleek!

Thought the same, been assured they will fit without rub and seen others with the same truck do it on stock suspension. Going to try it and hope for the best. From what I've been hearing, the wings on the skid plate (no longer there on this model year), front flaps and front sway bar are the big rub points

It should give the truck more ground clearance, right? Think if I add any type of spacer (1-1.25") it will no longer clear?

I agree but I'm torn, wife may need them when the baby is born :(

Keep them or replace them but do not take them off and not have any side steps.
This is coming from my experience, the wife definitely needed the side steps with the baby!!

Not sure if this is kid 1 for you or not, but for those approaching kid 1, steps are incredibly helpful putting infant seat in/out and then as the kids grow up, they use the steps to enter truck too

Good advice and along the lines of what I was thinking. I'll probably keep them on until I'm ready to swap them. Been looking at RB20's with the bed liner finish, $ though.
