08' 5.7 4x4 is losing power

    I was reading through this thread and I saw this post (we know it was the fuel pump) but I want to respond to this post. Anything, that is, any part of the emissions system, including cat converters will automatically throw a CEL if there's a problem, right? Then it's easy to diagnose when you plug in a code reader which will then tell you it's a cat problem or another problem linked to either the fuel intake or the exhaust system. Correct?
