    Hit it with a wire wheel or brush and some penetrant. Let it sit and go for it. Maybe you should have some replacements on deck too.

    The nut is welded to the mid pipe. So you’re trying to remove the bolt in this case.

    Really sorry to see all that rust.

    After a drive, right when you get home while exhaust is still hot, drench with PB. rhe Pores of the metal are all opened up when hot.

    If you’ve got another car to drive I think you should just go for it and roll the dice. If the bolt snaps go get a stainless one at the hardware store.

    I've got 3 of the 4 loose a little at a time. The 4th one won't grab and spears rounded off so I think I'll have to cut it. Sucks.

    If you try the extractors, use a hammer to tap it onto the bolt head so its on there good and tight before attempting to turn.

    Thanks man. You think it's ok to use in impact gun? That's the only way I can get these Bolts to budge
    Edit Irwin description says air gun is ok. But it's 3/8 so I'll need a step down which scares me it'll break

    With the extractor? Not sure if they're designed to be used in with an impact, but if you can't get it by hand...

    I do think Irwin makes a separate set that are designed for impact use.

    If you have files try and smooth the drive head of the bolt, remove as much rust as you possibly can with a wire wheel or brush. Check to see how the socket fits and if it’s still tight, spray the life out of it with pb or mouse milk or aero Kroil. If the socket is slightly loose put some aluminum tape inside of it. Turn your impact to its lowest setting and hammer on it to help work the oil in, sometimes it helps to hit it in the tightening direction lightly to break the rust and then start going back and forth all while spraying it.
