Just installed my '18 headlights, on a 2017 Platinum, purchased the motocontrol relay, and the pnp harnesses.
After plugging everything up, I do not have any low beam lamps, nor do the DRL brighten or dim, they stay the same
I do however have high beams and all park and turn lamps work,
But if I swap the plugs around on the motocontrol with the pnp harness I can get low beams to come on by their self when I cut high beams on from the truck.
Thought I blew a fuse but I check and also reinstalled my original headlamp and everything works fiine..

Any info would be greatly appreciated.. starting to wear my head out

Can you post pics of the harness plugs? I'm wondering if the pins in the harness are in the wrong spots

I found the problem, the 25 amp fuse on the motocontrol was blown, everything works as it should now...

I was about to freak out because this would make the 2nd set of harnesses I purchased, the first set had the wrong plugs in it for the moto, and then this one was giving me problems but finally got it right..
    Thanks!!

I don't know how well your halogen lights lit up the road but I can tell you that those LED lights are great.

What is wrong w ur lights, what happened?
Toyota isnt going to fix 2018 lamps in a 2016 truck under warranty. Their heads are going to be spinning. They will charge you to put it all back to stock, then trouble shoot it from there.

I know dealership has the last word and they reserve the right to refuse or not a warranty claim just for a simple reason “The new 2018 LED headlights were never intended or designed to be installed in our older trucks”, no matter which harness you have used, but just a great example @Erichudgins wasn’t so lucky and received a defective headlight, his high beam stopped working like 2 weeks after installation he used a harnesses with dimming and installed the headlights at home by himself, at first we thought it was simply the harness but wasn’t the case we troubleshoot the problem and he found a bad headlights assy. He took the headlight back to dealership for warranty and got a replacement now everything is working again

i agree ^^ i guess youd just have to prove the part has failed inside its warranty period. (i think is 1 year?)
id be apt to hand them the box with the headlight inside it and say, i fit this to my 2018 and its broken, please replace. i feel like if you gave them the truck they would have a whole mess of excuses to duck out of support.

I can hear the naysayers now but just spend $60 and get some LasFit LED bulbs for those fogs. One of my best mods to date. I can now actually tell I have the fogs on. Before I went to the LED bulbs I would not even bother to turn them on. My neighbor thought they would be too bright when we actually have fog but they are fine. The beam is directed down so they work good and really light up the road immediately in front of truck.

That's correct. I mean we have to be realistic in what we expect from a dealer. We do take some risk with the upgrades we choose. But I'm grateful to have been able to get it replaced under warranty. All this 2018 stuff is new. So there are bound to be some bugs to be worked out. Do the correct troubleshooting and follow these guys guidelines to correctly diagnose the issues. @Roman and @iHacker both walked me through the necessary steps to do so. Thanks again guys.
