Thanks for sharing the options you were given. Looking back, as much as I love the customization of this HU, I'm not sure I want to go thru it again for another 500 bucks. Gotta find time to contact Dasaita. I purchased a 2 year extended warranty thru Amazon but I think that was up 6 months ago. BTW how did you contact them? Was it thru their website or forums? I've got so many unanswered posts in their forums.

I still get FM and thumb drive tunes when a cycle thru the sources. Yours are good options to try but I'm not hopeful.

Installed it in December 2021, so about year and a half

Yea they're not very responsive on their website forum, I messaged them through Amazon, they respond pretty quick through there but all their replies will be at night. The seller for my unit was Dasaita Official Store but shipped by Amazon also, so no sure how it would go if yours was through a different seller.

Just got mine in and I'm trying to figure out how to mount it to the brackets. Anyone have any advice? Original bolts are too big and it came with some smaller ones, but the holes aren't lining up.

There are also a few extra connections from the factory unit that have nowhere to go. And RCA's from the harness the unit came with that have nowhere to go either... The instructions are useless as we all know already.

I'm a dumb-dumb apparently. Figured out the cable issues for the most part...except the reverse camera. Mine has two yellow camera cables. If I go to the AVIN app on the unit it'll display video, but in reverse it's black with a big exclamation point in the middle.

I'm also trying to see how to get it to fit better. Seems like it's an 1/8th of an inch too low.

You have the two yellow RCA's reversed. Switch them and your back up camera will work.

Yeah I figured it out, was hot and tired of looking at it so was easily stumped. Now I'm dealing with a different issue, debating on the best way to get around it. This tab under the dash that holds the middle clip on the factory unit at the top is in the way of the Dasaita sitting the way it's supposed to and allowing the A/C controls to go back in properly. I'm debating trimming it off, but I don't want to if I don't have to or someone has a better solution who's run into it before. I can't find anyone mentioning it being a problem though.

That A/C temp. section just below the Dasaita has always been pushed out slightly on mine. It's because there is nothing solid for it to clip into on the bottom of the Dasaita. The OEM HU had two bolts on the bottom and the Dasaita only clips at the top so the bottom kind of dangles. You have it installed corrected from what I can see. If you do figure out something different please let me know.

It just looks so cheap and janky not fitting properly. I'm thinking I'll modify the factory brackets to hold it in place better.

HIGHLY recommend these as a replacement to the factory POS dash tweeters. Unreal the difference for $70. Dasaita with amp bypass installed powering them.

Can you run these on a NON JBL amped SR5 (Amp under passengert seat) Factory Setup or is that a waste?

Yes, the factory tweeters are paper garbage that the sun destroys. You will see a huge difference even with factory head unit I'm sure.

Hello all! Im thinking about getting one of these HU for my 2018 tundra. Im looking at this one that's on amazon. ITs the 10.2 Dasaita vivid with Android 11. Im mostly just wanting to get apple car play working however I do have the anytime front and rear camera setup on a switch already. is it possible to retain that.

Also another big things I'm wanting to add is a dash cam, does anyone know if it's possible to hook a dash cam up the the HU instead of buying a whole new dash cam setup. Like is it possible to just add a camera and have it all saved to the HU? Also are people still happy with their choice? I was thinking of doing the Tesla style radio but seems like to many people have issues with them so I'm thinking this might be a better way to go. I also will be able to keep all the factory knobs for ac so its one less thing that the new HU could mess up. Thanks in advance!

Hi there! I'm here to reverse my recommendation on the Dasaita.

One: if you buy it on Amazon, it's not actually from Dasaita. You don't get the 1-year warranty. Mine's currently stuck in boot-loop and Dasaita's been kind enough to help me troubleshoot but their website clearly states that resellers don't get honored warranty support / exchanges because there's no telling what/if you get genuine software or hardware from them. Yikes.

Two: Longevity isn't there. If you listen to your radio a lot, you'll eventually run into overheating after 2 hours or so. Ever since I saw my first "overheating, turning off" message for the first time, it's not connected to Android Auto right anymore.

It's better than sticking with a stock headunit but have your expectations set accordingly, and buy it from the company directly so you get warranty replacement/exchange support if you need it. If you have to buy two in the lifetime of the truck, you've no longer saved any money vs getting a nice Alpine or Kenwood or such.

Great advice thanks! really trying to decide what HU to buy. I have looked at the Pioneer DMH-WT8600NEX, it's just 3 times the cost. I was hoping this would really work out but sounds like it might not be worth bothering with. I was liking the idea of the Tesla styled ones but again seems like so many people have issues with a lot of these aftermarket HUs. Might just have to pay the extra money for a nice Pioneer or Kenwood.

There's a thread in here for an Alpine ilx-f309 which would be a great upgrade. Very fairly priced.

Does anyone know if there's more than 2 camera inputs, and if so, what the labels are? Wondering how hard it would be to wire in some blind spot cameras into this unit...

Hi all, apologies i'm sure this info is contained somewhere in this thread but I'm still a bit confused.
I have a 2007 Tundra limited with the jbl system. is this what I need?
    https://www.amazon.com/Dasaita-Andr...---------&vehicleName=2007+Toyota+Tundra&th=1

it seems a bit cheap like it may be missing some wiring harnesses I'll need? Can someone with a gen2 jbl truck point me in the right direction?

I thought it would have, but that’s about $200 cheaper than I paid for mine so I wasn’t sure.
